REFRIGERATED DRYER
eliminates vapor before it condenses
As atmospheric air is drawn into a compressor, water vapor is introduced as well. During compression, air heats up and is able to hold more water vapor. Mechanical separators and filters are used to remove liquid water, yet air remains saturated with water vapor. As air travels through the piping, the vapor condenses and becomes hazardous to your system. Using a Secotec refrigerated dryer eliminates vapor before it condenses and attacks the system.

HEATLESS DESICCANT AIR DRYER
for critical compressed air applications
The Optima LX series heatless desiccant air
dryer is a compressed air drying package with many standard features such as maintenance free shuttle valves, high efficiency coalescing prefilter and particulate removal afterfilter. The optional 100°F dewpoint package provides the ultra dry air required for critical compressed air applications. Specially designed to meet the rigorous operating demands of continuous-service desiccant dryers, the switching valve has only one moving part and requires no lubrication. The valve design and use of non-corroding materials of construction ensure reliable
switching for the life of the dryer. The dryers are available in 17 models rated from 55 to 3,250
scfm.

AIR POWER UNITS
feature positive displacement blowers
Kice air power units incorporate the new positive displacement blowers which feature oversized bearings and shafts, as well as an extra drive bearing to support "v" belt load. The design blowers are rated to 15 psig -- sized to cover air requirements of 3", 4", 5" and 6" line sizes. The air power units also feature the Kice Silenzair inlet and outlet silencers, welded frame and a relief valve/check plate assembly to protect against abnormal operating conditions and reverse airflow. Kice air power units are available separately or as a component of complete pneumatic conveying systems.

NITROGEN GAS GENERATION SYSTEM
produces pure nitrogen gas from compressed air
The Nitrogen Generator produces up to 740 SCFH of compressed nitrogen on site at purities of up to 99.5% and 3200 SCFH at 95% purity. This system utilizes proprietary membrane separation technology. The membrane divides the compressed air feed gas into two streams: one is 95%-99.5% pure nitrogen and the other is oxygen-rich with carbon dioxide and other trace gases. The generator is a compete system comprised of high efficiency coalescing prefilters with automatic drains, an activated carbon filter and a 0.01 micron membrane final filter. Typical applications include: purging or testing of tanks and vessels, solvent blanketing, food processing and packaging, storage of perishables, packaging, chemical transferring, sparging and mixing, etc.

ZERO AIR LOSS DRAINS
for compressed air systems
The Balston Zero Air Loss Drain conserves compressed air energy by only expelling oil/water condensate from the compressed air system. As condensate collects in the internal sump, a diaphragm is held closed by the system pressure. When the liquid level sensor detects an accumulation of condensate, an electromagnet is activated, relieving the system pressure above the diaphragm. As the condensate level decreases, system pressure is reintroduced above the diaphragm, closing off the flow of condensate before compressed air can escape. The unit is suitable for use on all filters and dryers. It is capable of accepting power supplies of 24V to 230V. Internal electronics continuously monitor operation and a test button enables manual discharge.

VENTURI BLOWERS
move fumes quickly and easily
This line of portable Venturi Blowers offers the solution for moving fumes that may be poisonous, explosive or
hazardous quickly and easily. The blowers can move the air in refineries, utility and power plants, shipyards, steel mills, marine and confined spaces. They can cool workers as well as equipment that may be overheating with a blast of directed air, or move fresh air into a confined space. The four different models feature sturdy steel galvanized diffuser, single piece cast aluminum inlet housing and a convenient carrying handle. Compressed air or saturated steam is the power source for the Venturi Blowers. Ducting in 8 inch or 16 inch, adapters and connectors, storage bags and racks are all available.

MEMBRANE AIR DRYER
protects coordinate measurement machines
The Balston® Membrane Air Dryer will protect CMMs from oil and water by providing a reliable source of pure, dry compressed air at guaranteed dewpoint of 35°F. It will dry compressed air to dewpoints as low as 35°F at flow rates of up to 600
scfm. As the air dryer has no moving parts, it operates reliably and efficiently without operator attention. Dry air is achieved by returning a small
portion of the dry product air to sweep out moisture, which preferentially passes through the membranes. The degree of drying is controlled by varying the compressed air throughout the system. The moisture laden sweep gas is vented to the atmosphere, eliminating potential liquid-handling and freezing problems. Since the membrane air dryer is compact and lightweight, it can be easily mounted on an existing pipeline. Coalescing prefiltration is employed immediately upstream of the membranes to protect them from pipe scale, other particulate and liquids. The Balston Membrane Air Dryer requires no electrical connections which makes it ideal for remote and point-of-use installations or for flammable and explosive applications.

HEATLESS DESICCANT AIR DRYER
for critical compressed air applications
The series 60 heatless desiccant compressed air dryer design is a complete compressed air drying package which provides the ultra dry air needed for critical compressed air applications. It features maintenance free shuttle valves, high efficiency coalescing prefilter and particulate removal
afterfilter. The non-lubricated switching valve, working in conjunction with two solenoid-operated purge valves, replaces up to 13 separate valves used in other designs. The series 60 dryers come standard with a modular electronic controller. The dryers are available in 19 models rated from 55 to 5,820
scfm.

ASD DIRECT-DRIVE COMPRESSOR
for maximum efficiency and reliability
The new ASD series rotary screw compressor features the proprietary SIGMA PROFILE which saves up to 15% energy compared with conventional rotary screw profiles. Each ASD compressor uses a radial fan, reducing the noise created by the compressor and saving energy. In the ASD packages, the motor drives the airend directly without any transmission loss via a maintenance-free coupling. The low speed is made possible by using large-sized airends that are matched to the individual performances and pressures required. Their one-to-one drive also reduces the number of components needed in comparison with gear drive, increasing reliability and service life. Every ASD compressor includes a SIGMA CONTROL, an industrial computer that allows the regulation and the monitoring of the compressor automatically. The ASD series also features an optional dryer and/or an optional variable frequency drive, both integrated into the unit package.

FLOWMETER
for compressed air
The Model 10A compressed air flowmeter is ideal for compressed air flow measurement because it has a very wide turndown and measures directly in SCFM units without pressure or temperature compensation. SCFM is required to calculate compressor efficiency. The sensor is constructed of 316SS and is all-welded to ensure long-term reliability. All Fox thermal mass flowmeters are microprocessor-based and CE approved. In-line and insertion models are available and the flowmeter's calibration is traceable to NIST standards.
