The CoreTech® CA20 Series 2" absolute encoders features a factory-configurable sensor module that allows for the creation and shipment of any resolution from 2 to 32,768 ppr in just two to three days, without any  additional costs to the user. Features include an electronic zero position set and parallel or SSI absolute output. The CoreTech® concept uses a minimum number of sophisticated components to achieve maximum variety: a proprietary hybrid OPTO-ASIC and a small, unique code disc. The position information is condensed into one circular barcode track. A second analog sine/cosine track supplies additional data, which when synchronized with the data from the barcode track, results in high resolution and accuracy. Both tracks are read simultaneously by a sophisticated sensor array on the hard-wired OPTO-ASIC.

Advanced Motion Controls announces the availability of velocity mode for its DR100 series digital drive family. The addition of this operating mode allows users to solve both simple and difficult velocity control applications more easily, since the velocity loop is closed inside the drive. The velocity loop is implemented as a fully de-coupled PID algorithm, with the addition of a feed-forward gain and runs at an impressive 100-microsecond update rate. All gains can be adjusted and system response can be monitored using complimentary setup and configuration software. A configurable low-pass filter smoothes the velocity feedback, which can be derived from encoder or resolver signals. Events such as zero-speed and at-velocity are fully programmable and can be mapped to one of four programmable digit outputs. These drives can be used with rotary or linear, brush type or brushless motors. Various models are available with supply range of 80VDC to 460VAC, and maximum current output capability in the range of 15A to 100A.

The WORLD-BEAM™ QS18LE series laser emitters are designed for use as a DC powered "laser pointer" in an industrial housing as well as the emitter half of an opposed mode sensor pair. As a pointer, the QS18LE provides five different beam shapes including small spot, circle, verticle line, horizontal line and cross for applications requiring precise product or target location. These applications include pointing at a punched hole or missing hole, as part of a sensor array of "pick-to-lights" illuminating a component selection work sequence and for material cut-off indication. ZERO BACKLASH JAW COUPLINGS available from stock

Jawflex™ zero backlash jaw couplings are three-piece couplings comprised of two hubs and an elastic element. The spider, made of an advanced polyurethane material, provides dampening of impulse type loads, minimizing shock to the motor and other sensitive equipment. Available in two hardness levels, these spiders allow the end user to customize the jaw couplings performance. All spiders are press fit into a curved jaw profile; generous chamfers on the spiders and jawed hubs make this assembly easy. Because of this press fit, the coupling is considered zero backlash. With a curved jaw profile, forces on the spider's "limb" are concentrated to the center, improving the effectiveness of the elastomer material. Standoffs, located on the spider "limbs", assist in angular misalignment capabilities, as well as electrical isolation. Jaw couplings are considered fail safe, should the spider element ever fail, the jaws on the hubs provide a direct power transmission, allowing the application to safely shut down, after which the spider can be easily replaced. The couplings are available from stock in a choice of seven outside diameters from 15mm to 57.2mm in both set screw style and NOMAR® clamp style. A large variety of inch  and metric bore sizes from 1/8" (3mm) to 1 1/8" (30mm) are available.

ROLL-FED SHEETER has small footprint

The Compact Roll-Fed Sheeter has been engineered to sheet at high speeds with a small footprint. Contech engineered the system to unwind two different rolls of aluminum foil laminated paper at a 90° angle to each other; the unwinds and processing stations are all contained in one compact area. One roll goes into a 45° breakover roller to align both rolls together in the same direction, then the roll material is spliced together and processed without scratching or wrinkling the paper. The system maps and detects each splice; spliced sections of the web are automatically rejected. The roll material is sheeted to precise lengths, a conveyor delivers the sheets to the next step in the processing line.

Flowline's general purpose, two-wire LU05 MicroSpan™ ultrasonic transmitter provides non-contact level measurements from 0.16 to 4 ft. Ideally suited for applications involving small atmospheric process vessels, IBC tote, 55-gal drums and waste sumps, the transmitter's miniature deadband optimizes the filling capacity of small vessels. TORQUE REACTION ARMS for any application

The FlexArm torque reaction arms are designed for a variety of assembly operations. The CVA-10 absorbs a maximum torque of 10 foot pounds and can be used as close as 8" from where it is mounted to the table and can extend out to 28". A two-piece motor mount that will accommodate any assembly tool up to a 2" diameter is standard. The G-60 model absorbs a maximum torque of 800 foot pounds and has a working range of 20" to 78". Various other models are available with maximum torque levels of 30 foot pounds, 50 foot pounds, 80 foot pounds, 120 foot pounds, 150 foot pounds and 200 foot pounds. Custom vertical or hori  zontal motor mounts are also available for all models.
