These enclosures are sized to provide a clear light of sight across the factory floor. The A26 enclosures for distributed control components and condensed main control and power distribution panels are available as standard products in a broad range of free-standing, wall- or machine-mount sizes. Brownell Immersion-Proof Breathers prevent pressure or vacuum build-up in equipment and containers. Heat can cause a build-up of pressure within an enclosure, and without adequate venting the lightweight material could fracture. These devices allow an enclosure to "breathe" but will withstand driving rain or even total immersion in water up to three feet. Made from high-strength plastic, the breathers can pass high flow rates of air which can result
from rapid variations in pressure, caused by temperature or attitude changes.

The RC35-9VB/2AA enclosure is ideal for housing handheld remote control, testing, scanning and paging devices used in consumer audio and video electronics, alarm and security systems, inventory control systems, medical equipment, scientific instruments, small data entry terminals, medical devices, computer and telecommunications interfaces, as "smart" interfaces for automated systems and more. The enclosures include a battery compartment which accommodates either one 9-volt battery or two size "AA" batteries.
The XCEX series of flameproof control enclosures is now
ATEX-certified. The enclosures are used in the installation of electrical/electronic components for control, measurement or monitoring applications in hazardous environments. XCEX control enclosures can be modified for installation of a variety of explosion proof operator devices, viewing windows and accessories permitting the development of customized enclosure systems. Features include copper-free aluminum construction which is corrosion-resistant with a tumblast finish.

Rittal's range of TS8 PC housing and enclosure systems offer protection for PCs and associated equipment operating in industrial environments. The additional use of climate control components guarantee that a correct operating temperature is maintained inside the enclosure. A large monitor area and keyboard drawer is supplemented by a version with a desk section in place of the drawer or with a shortened monitor door and folding support panel. Both the fold down keyboard and the pull out drawer versions do not infringe on protection category IP55, even when open. Hinged cable support on the drawers prevents snagging of the keyboard and mouse cables during operation. For security the enclosure cladding can be locked or secured with internal fixings on the side walls and roof.
Over 200 Ralston™ carbon steel NEMA Type 4 and Type 12 rated enclosures are UL and CSA-approved. Ten different groups of carbon steel enclosures are offered, ranging from small, wall mount units to large free-standing double door enclosures. The enclosures are polyester powder-coated to give better resistance to chalking and color change for exterior exposure, as well as a better resistance to color change from aging. The coating also offers good hardness, chip resistance and chemical and stain resistance.
The HJ series fiberglass enclosures features an overlapping cover and an integral mounting foot. The series is designed for corrosive environments including petrochemical and water treatment applications. Fifty-one new enclosures are available, including both flat and raised cover designs. Each has a foam-in-place gasket with a continuous seal to keep out dust, dirt and liquids. All accept Hoffman's standard panels with several standard panel options available. The gray enclosures are made of hot molded fiberglass
reinforced polyester, a corrosion resistant, easy to modify material. The series can be modified to meet a variety of specifications.
The 3/4ATR-WA-M28 Airborne Rack is an off-the-shelf enclosure ideal for airborne, ship and ground mobile systems, as well as other harsh environment applications. It accommodates 6U VME64x boards, as well as any IEEE1101-compliant convection-cooled board that employs a backplane with P0 connectors. The enclosures provide two I/O connectors and a power connector. Adequate space is provided between the top cover and front panel for I/O wiring from the front panel connectors to the P2/P0 backplane connectors and/or front panels of installed boards.

According to the derating curve the plug connector can handle currents at 41 A per individual pin at an ambient temperature of 50°C. A steel retaining spring on the female side provides an additional measure of contract reliability, which is particularly important if there are large fluctuations of current or temperature. Fully silver-plated metal parts ensure constant surface coating with consistent plug-in or pull-out forces.
Devcon Cable Cast FR is a tough, flame-retardant urethane for encapsulating, insulating and providing strain relief on electrical cables and connectors. It forms a tough, flexible jacket or casing with abrasion, tear, puncture and environmental resistance. It is also suitable for making fast repairs to cable jackets and insulation in various mining and power-distribution applications.
