ALL-PLASTIC BASKET STRAINERS for demanding corrosive or ultra-pure applications

Operators of piping systems moving ultra-pure or corrosive liquids can protect their pumps, meters, valves and other system components from damage by installing a Hayward plastic basket strainer to remove unwanted particulate matter from the flow. System operators can choose from three plastic materials: PVC, CPVC or PPL. To increase application flexibility, three different end connections, threaded, socket weld or flanged, are available. Available in sizes for 1/2" through 8" pipelines all strainers come standard with a "no tools required" quick spin-off cover for fast and easy strainer basket cleaning. The plastic strainer baskets can be specified with perforations from 1/32" up to 3/16".

FREE FLOAT STEAM TRAPS eliminate condensate problems

The TLV line of "free float" steam traps for eliminating condensate problems in process heaters, steam coils, steam mains and heat exchangers is now available in Canada. The units have only one moving part -- the float -- for lower maintenance and higher reliability. Precision ground TLV floats have unmatched sealing performance with the valve seat to prevent steam loss and they are designed for severe service operation. The TLV free float adjusts quickly to changes in condensate flow, ensuring rapid discharge and maximum process efficiency. Unaffected by back pressure, several models are available for pressures up to 1500 psig and operating temperatures to 800°F.
