LabVIEW TOOLKIT
delivers custom user interface

The LabVIEW Simulation Interface Toolkit 2.0 is an add-on that links the NI LabVIEW graphical development environment with The Math Works Inc. Simulink modeling and simulation software. With this toolkit, design engineers build custom user interfaces to interactively verify Simulink models and easily deploy these models to real-time hardware for control prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop testing, helping them deliver new products to market faster. The Toolkit includes a connection manager that engineers can use to create custom LabVIEW-based graphical user interfaces that connect to parameters and output of Simulink models. Engineers can incorporate their application knobs, dials, gauges and graphs into a single, comprehensive interface to easily verify their simulation models. In addition, they can implement batch simulations to validate Simulink models with a wide range of test parameters.

TIPPING BUCKET RAIN GAUGES
measure rain and snow precipitation

The RG-2500 tipping bucket rain gauge is a dependable instrument used for measuring precipitation. Rainfall that enters the 8" or 12" funnel collector is directed to the tipping bucket assembly. When an incremental amount of precipitation has been collected 0.01", the bucket assembly tips and activates a magnetic reed switch. The sample is discharged through the base of the gauge. A momentary electrical contact is provided for each increment of rainfall. The contact closure is used to operate a data acquisition system. The model RG-2500E is used where 115 Vac is available and precipitation is often in the form of snow. A heating kit has been added to the basic RG-2500 rain gauge to provide capability for measuring snow.
