LEONI Tailor-Made Cable (LTMC) offers customized EMI shielding to cope with virtually any EMI requirement. To pick the appropriate shielding for a given EMI scenario, LEONI TMC engineers select from a wide variety of materials and designs. They range from braided and/or wrapped-foil shields to complex multi-layer designs. The 8513 SUFK series 3.5mm pluggable connector may be connected without being mounted to a printed circuit board. This enables a "flying connection" suitable for panels, junction boxes or other space constrained applications that require free floating wiring. The series provides engineers with a quick solution for connecting wires without the limitations of fixed mounting. The spring clamp terminations make initial installation easy and the coded pluggable components ensure correct mating. The 8513 SUFK series is manufactured from UL94V-0 rated polyamide and is available up to 16 poles, unmarked or pre-marked numerically in sequence. Longer pole configurations up to 24 poles are available upon request. The 8513 SUFK is CSA approved at 300 volts, 5 amps, #22-14 AWG and is also UL approved.

The GADP ground relay alarm detects, protects and locates faults in resistance grounded electrical systems. It offers sophisticated alarm and pulsing capabilities in a compact size for easy integration into electrical switchgear. The GADP monitors the line-to-ground voltage on each phase for a change in voltage. When a change is detected, the GADP relay provides a visible signal identifying which phase is faulted. The alarm display shows the magnitude of detected faults in an easy-to-read bar graph from 10% to 100% to provide early warning of faults. When the fault level reaches 50%, an audible alarm is sounded. After a fault has been detected the GADP is equipped with a plug-in type DS-PM pulse module that provides a pulsing ground current to quickly locate and correct the fault.

ABB introduces a new life of fast and powerful Mini-PLCs, the 40, 50 and 90 series. This series supports all major communications platforms. Selected models are available with Modbus, ABB-CS31, RTU, Profibus DP, Devicenet, CANopen, RCOM, ARCNET and Ethernet. These fast 32 bit processors offer double word memory, PID control and 32 bit arithmetic. Onboard memory ranges from 34K to 480K and is expandable to 2M with an optional flash rom. These devices are capable of digital I/O to over 1000 points; analog I/O to over 600 points with unlimited timers and high speed counters to 50KHz. Installation is quick and easy via plug-in terminals. Keypad operating panels, touch screens and workstations are also available. The Chainflex® CF300 is a single-core, flexible power cable for high-amp, high-voltage applications. It is designed with a single copper conductor, available in large gauges. Chainflex CF300 was developed for use in heavy-duty moving power supply applications requiring higher amperage, such as machine tools, automation equipment and cranes. The finely stranded copper wires are wound at a small pitch, which allows for tighter bend radii and extensive endurance through frequent and fast cycles. The CF300 jacket design employs a "sandwich" technique which combines the inner and outer jackets into one extrusion for precision conductor coverage and long life without corkscrewing.

The Solarite SI-200 series of RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanizing) two-component, high-voltage electrical potting and casting silicones are easy to use and are available in hardness ranges from 80A (semi-rigid) to 00 (gels). The gels are re-enterable and cure to an elastic Shore 00 form with no surface residue. The silicones are UL-94V-0 approved and formulated for a wide range of electrical applications including high-voltage power supplies, HID ballasts, relays, connectors and cable sealing and splicing. They cure with a high gloss and produce void-free castings in potted electrical devices. Thermally conductive versions are also available for use with electrical devices that operate at extremely high temperatures and require heat dissipation.

While providing advanced branch circuit protection, the 1492-MC circuit breakers offer product configuration in a space-saving design that is simple to install and maintain. The circuit breakers are designed to meet the requirements of UL489 and CSA 22.2 No. 5.1 and include GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) and GFEP (Ground Fault Equipment Protector) products. Ideal for applications that require branch circuit protection complying with UL and CSA standards, the circuit breakers may be sized to protect wiring and associated equipment from 10 to 100 amps at 120/240 volts and 240 volts. The 15MP-3 Male Plug and 15FP-3 Female Connector provides complete protection against dust and allows for continuous submersion in up to 6' of water when capped or mated. They are 3 wire IP68 rated for 13 to 18 Amps 600 Volts Max. The connectors are available molded to Type SOW-A cable on #16 AWG rated 13 amps and #14 AWG rated 18 amps and are available as pigtails or extension cords. Standard connector colours include black, red, white, blue and orange. The connectors' unique seal design isolates one contact from the other and creates a watertight seal.

The model 275HVD is designed to detect the presence of high voltage, a range of 80V to 275kV, without physical contact. An eight position rotary switch selects the detection range. As the lightweight sensor is moved closer to the voltage-carrying conductor, its sensor head picks up the radiated electric field. Once the range threshold is reached, audible and visual indicators warn the operator of live conductors. A universal spline on the back-end facilitates attachment to any standard hot stick.

Heli-Tube® UV-resistant polyethylene cable wrap is designed for bundling and protecting cables and hoses that are used outdoors. Spirally cut for easy installation by hand, without tools, this expandable cable wrap is unaffected by direct sunlight, saltwater, fuels, oils, and detergents. Eliminating the need for heat-shrinkable tubing and tape in many applications, the cable wrap comes in seven sizes from 1/8" to 1 1/2" O.D. for bundles up to 10" O.D.

Wieland has introduced an extended height version of its 8292 series of printed circuit board terminal blocks, designed to save board real estate by enabling wiring access above other board-level components. The 8292 DH, EH and H series is manufactured with dovetail slots to create custom-designed, tiered block configurations. This new addition to the 8292 series allows designers to configure tiered-connectors that can tower over board level components thereby improving wiring access. The extended height series is manufactured from polyamide and utilizes a screw clamp/rising cage clamping mechanism for superior connectivity using a single solder pin per pole for connection to the board.

A redesigned line of GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) receptacles features a new circuit design which performs a vital test function that prevents the device from being reset in the event of reversed line-load wiring during installation. The new XGF-series also contains a built-in indicator light for positive identification of a ground fault occurrence which also serves as a secondary signal of correct wiring. If the electronics become damaged and unable to detect a ground fault the device will, upon having its test function performed, be prevented from resetting. Added levels of surge protection, corrosion and moisture resistance and immunity from radio frequency interference, plus larger, easier to use reset buttons have also been included in the new design.

The T3-1/4 (9mm) BF321 series miniature bayonet based LED lamps incorporate advanced optical-grade epoxy to produce sunlight-visible illumination that is bright and evenly dispersed. These LED direct incandescent replacement lamps are plug-compatible with illuminated switches and indicators from most major manufacturers. Applications include industrial control push button switches, industrial control communicators, indicators for process controls, aircraft instrumentation, elevator panels, automobile lighting, medical and scientific equipment, relampable panel mount indicator lamps and other instances where long-lived, energy-efficient light sources are required. 175A AMP power series connectors are a two pole, wire-to-wire style connector rated for 175A at 600V (AC or DC) when using 1/0 wire. The connector employs a genderless housings design that allows mating between two identical housings so that only one housing part number is necessary. The contact system uses one contact style rather than a male/female arrangement simplifying ordering and stocking. A rugged housing design and highly durable contacts make this connector suitable for industrial environments. These connectors can be used in material handling equipment, electrical vehicles, electric utility vehicles, power supplies, power distribution modules, rechargeable batteries and industrial equipment.

Prismatron® electronic ballasts are now offered for use with single metal halide luminaires. The ballasts, which are available with any Holophane line of high-bay prismatic glass optics, may be used with 320-, 350-, and 400-watt conventional and pulse-start metal halide lamps. The electronic ballasts feature silent operation, colour stability and flicker-free illumination. Prismatron electronic ballasts allow users to take advantage of Daylight Harvest™ to reduce energy consumption while maintaining a comfortable indoor environment as the ballasts continuously dim the lamps so that the occupants within a facility are unaware of any alterations in the illumination.
