Hoffman has expanded its family of large, free-standing A38 and A38D Type 1 Enclosures with three new platforms available immediately. A two-door general-purpose enclosure and a line of one- and two-door disconnect enclosures join the company's one-door model introduced last fall. The A 38 provides an economical alternative for applications that don't require sealed enclosures. A38 enclosures are designed to protect a wide variety of equipment in commercial buildings, as well as cleaner industrial environments such as warehouses, assembly areas and electrical/mechanical rooms. The enclosures are ideal for applications as varied as power distribution, main control, variable frequency drives, custom motor control centres, mar shalling cabinets or lighting control.

The Aero 75-DX is a single hose, high pressure cleaning system blasting at up to 300 psi. The system incorporates patented rotor feeder technology ensuring reliability and pulse-free blasting at all pressures and media flow ranges for greater operator comfort, faster cleaning and less waste. The Aero 75-DX is versatile, safe, easy to use and features a single hose system; patented isolated slide-out hopper which allows easy removal of unused ice and convenient ergonomic controls for simple operation. Dry ice blasting is a fast and effective cleaning method that uses high-velocity dry ice pellets to clean surfaces without damaging equipment or creating new waste streams.

ASCO has extended CSA-GAS Certification for their range of Automatic Safety Shut-off valves to include DC power constructions in the range of 6 to 240 volts. Two models are available: Series 8215 for Z21.21 (6.5) Automatic valve requirements and Series 8214 for C/I (3.9) Safety Shutoff valve requirements. Available in pipe sizes of 3/8" to 2" NPT, these two-way, normally-closed valves are typically used as the main gas shutoff valve in commercial or industrial burners, auxiliary power generators and mobile applications. Two Upstream/Downstream pipe taps with plugs are provided as a standard feature on ASCO 8214 series valves providing easy access for routine testing.

Exair's Ion Air Gun removes static electricity, contaminants and dust from three-dimensional parts prior to labeling, assembly, packaging, painting or finishing. It is engineered for safe operation and is now UL Component Recognized to U.S. and Canadian safety standards. The shockless ion air gun neutralizes static electricity and cleans at distances up to 4.6m. The unit incorporates a high velocity air jet that uses a small amount of compressed air to entrain 80 percent of the total output airflow from the surrounding room air. An electrically energized emitter at the discharge end fills the entire airstream with positive and negative ions capable of neutralizing high static  charges in a fraction of a second.

Morse drum cones and clamp collars control the dispensing flow of dry materials from drums and help to contain the product. Simply replace the drum lid of a fiber or steel drum with the properly sized drum cone and clamp collar and instantly the drum is an efficient pouring instrument. By narrowing the pour diameter, the drum cone helps to contain the product, especially fine powders that tend to dust. Dispensing can be stopped almost instantaneously with the use of the Morse slide gate or an iris valve. The drum cone also extends the reach of the pour by up to 13". Units are available in both standard carbon and stainless steels.

The N-Vision 5600 series is a new spectacle designed to allow prescription lenses to be inserted on the nosepiece. This protective eyewear is designed for prescription wearers and is a response to aging workforce issues. The series is designed with a choice of universal comfort bridge or the new flexi-fit nosepiece. The RX insert attaches to the flexi-fit nosepiece version only. The new spectacle absorbs 17 times more kinetic energy than required by CSA. It comes with both straight and curved temple ends, as well as four frame colours and eight lenses colours. The flexible Ring Light Magnifier (RLM) series of lights is suitable for industrial and assembly applications. The RLM series is available in a c-clamp or mobile models and can be easily attached to a workbench or table. Designed with a 9" lampshade and lens protector, it provides 22-watts of light in a compact fluorescent tube and offers 3x magnification. An optional auxiliary 3x lens is available for magnification up to 6x. The unit features a quick adjust lever at the base for easy positioning.

The coalescing Balston filters now feature two differential pressure indicators built right into the head of the  filter allowing for a full 360 degree viewing. A quick release, bayonet bowl design and a pressure relief valve have been incorporated which offers easy maintenance without the need for tools. A modular -- snap together port to port design allows for easy installation eliminating the need for pipe nozzles, pipe dope and pipe wrenches. All housings have a sightglass on the filter bowls for monitoring condensate collection and auto drain performance. The filters are available in 1/4" and 1 1/2" line sizes with flow capacities up to 316 SCFM. They remove 99.99% of oil, water, rust and pipescale particles of 0.01 micron in size and larger from  compressed air and other gases.

The TL4019 series safety interlock switch features guard door locking. Utilizing a total of four contacts, it monitors safety, door position and the lock itself. The switch features a locking force of 1200 N to ensure that the guard door stays locked shut until the machine is safe to enter. The TL4019 features a narrow profile that allows it to be mounted on 2-in. square tubing or in space-restricted applications. The rugged NEMA 6 glass-filled polyester housing allows the switch to withstand water washdown cleaning. When used with a stainless steel actuator, the TL4019 provides a minimum of one million actuations.

Scientific Technologies, Inc.

The UA series ultrasonic sensors have been designed for both distance measurement and object detection in tough environments. The range consists of both M18 and M30 housings. Discrete output types are available for presence and absence detection, and are ideally suited for detecting objects that cannot be detected by other sensors, such as transparent objects. Analog output types are available requiring a measurement of the target object, such as detecting the level of fluid in a tank. The analog models have a choice of 0-10 VDC or 4-20 mA outputs.
