BALL NOSE CUTTER designed for high feed milling The R218-20 indexable insert Ball Nose cutter for copy milling can handle very high feed rates thanks to a rigid design and two effective teeth. It is a versatile cutter that can be used from semi-finishing to heavy roughing operations typically found in mould and die type contouring applications. The cutter is available in sizes from 0.625 to 2.00 in. (16-50 mm) diameter with a variety of shank sizes. It is available with normal and long edge cutting length. The Ball Nose cutter body incorporates a unique pocket seat with tenon to avoid stress on the locking screw and a large radius chip space to make the cutter strong in the center. Seco Tools Canada

WORKHOLDING SYSTEM increases machining rates The FIXTURBLOK® workholding system increases machining rates on any difficult-to-clamp or fragile components. Metal alloy, used as a fixturing medium, encapsulates the component, distributing pressure points across the surface to allow it to withstand the heavy loads generated by high speed machining. The FIXTURBLOK system offers high speed machining solutions for components that are sensitive to surface damage (mirror finish), are very fragile or brittle, such as optical lenses or zirconium materials, or can't be subjected to a localized clamping force for a number of reasons. SHAFT COLLARS handle bores up to 6 inches Ruland offers a complete line of Nomar shaft collars in aluminum. Black oxide carbon steel and stainless steel. The collars are available in one- and two-piece clamp-style designs with bore sizes from 1/8" to 6" in the inch series and 3mm to 80mm in the metric series. All Ruland shaft collars are single point faced to ensure perpendicularity and proper alignment. Ruland uses forged socket hardware in all its shaft collars, which allows for higher screw torque and increased holding power. Ruland Manufacturing Co., Inc.
