Falk's Drive One product line is now available as a "Complete Drive System" for conveyor applications. It is offered in nine sizes of pre-engineered assemblies, all mounted on a common swing base. The swing base assembly is shaft mounted via Falk's exclusive TA Taper bushing system and utilizes a foot mounted motor and flexible or fluid coupling. All drive systems are available with guards, torque arm connection, choice of cooling options, backstops, brakes, inching drives and various maintenance options. Drive One is a universal drive solution that features six sided horizontal or vertical mounting capability.

Brennan's new push-to-connect fittings allow instant connections that are easily made by pushing the tube into the fitting. No tools or other operations are necessary and disconnection can also be made easily. The universally adopted push-to-connect fittings are ideal for both mobile and in-plant applications involving compressed air. Available in a wide range of body designs and configurations from 1/8" to 1/2" in diameter, the fittings are offered in both poly and nickel-plated brass. The push-to-connect fittings are also offered for metric tubes with BSP threads in taper, parallel and metric form.

The NRS Planetary Roller Screw Assemblies are designed for the most demanding and precise linear motion applications. The NRS roller screw high efficiency and shallow lead designs provide very high axial resolution (small axial movement) with a multitude of contact points for carrying large loads. NRS assemblies feature nuts with threaded rollers instead of bearing balls as rolling elements. Nuts are available with an integral flange or as a cylindrical nut in a split preloaded or one-piece solid non-preloaded design. The ZRF-P 2040.02 standard line of Timing Belt Conveyor Systems is designed for accurate product staging and indexing, where the same parts, or a family of similar parts must be accurately positioned for automatic loading or assembly components in automotive, electronic, medical, consumer goods and other high production applications. Single timing belts widths range from 40 mm to 400 mm, with dual or multiple lanes possible to handle wider requirements. Lengths range from 650 mm to 6000 mm and load ranges from oz's up to 500 pounds. Many of the units include standard welded fixtures to accommodate part holding or orientation.

Uhing has re-engineered its model RG 40 mm rolling ring drives to provide automatic reversal, without programming or electronics, while traveling at linear speeds of up to 0.6 m/s. At linear speeds exceeding 0.6 m/s, the drives will automatically reverse without clutches, cams or gears, provided the assembly is fitted with a slow down mechanism which slightly reduces linear speed prior to reversal. The free movement lever is standard on the new 40 mm drives. Two drives have been introduced: a 3-ring design offers 94.42 pounds of axial thrust and a 4-ring design offers 188.85 pounds of thrust. The length, width and height of the drives are identical so designers requiring additional thrust can use  the 4-ring drive without consuming more design space.

Amacoil, Inc.

A new corrosion resistant (CR) version of the Slide-Rite™, a universal right angle gearbox is designed to meet the demands of harsh, potentially corrosive industrial environments. It features a one-piece, hard anodized aluminum case that seals gears from outside contaminants. The new CR version is also equipped with corrosion resistant electroless nickel plated geared sleeves, keys and retaining rings in addition to stainless steel bearings for efficient power transmission in environmentally tough applications. The Slide-Rite CR is available in two sizes: the Standard Series for most applications and the Compact Series for applications where space is limited.

Clippard announces the addition of newly-designed fittings that combine the quick, easy functionality of the Push-Quick series with the flexibility and security of the MJQC Quick Connect line with no circuit interruption. These fittings provide for an easy connection point for a temporary function or circuitry connection. Possible uses include air flow/pressure testing, valve dumping or venting, or a quick connection to a valve, cylinder, hose and more.

The EnDat 2.2 serial interface for quick-response drives is a digital bidirectional interface for encoders that is capable of outputting absolute position values, as well as requesting or updating information stored in an encoder. The interface now offers purely digital transmission to the higher-level electronics over only four lines. The analog signal can no longer be disturbed by interference on the way to the subsequent electronics because it is already interpolated in the encoder. This improves drive characteristics with regard to positioning accuracy, repeatability, speed stability and dynamic response.

The Reali-Slim® TT line of miniature thin-section turntable bearings saves weight, reduces product design envelope sizes and increases design flexibility for such turntable applications as robotics, radar antennae and factory positioning and inspection tables. The bearings are a single 4-point contact ball radial design, consisting of a single row of ball with a unique "gothic arch" raceway and one-piece separators for low frictional torque. Radial, axial and moment-load capable, the bearings are shipped pre-lubricated and ready  for use. Installation is fast and easy; the bearing is positioned on the mounting face and tightened down by mounting screws.

The HG+ right-angle gearhead achieves an efficiency above 96% with guaranteed backlash of <4 arcminutes, ratios of i = 3-10, and an acceleration torque of 20-640 Nm -- all in a compact, right-angle gearhead design. The single stage gearhead design features low inertia, high speeds, low noise, low heat and lower system costs. Kollmorgen S200 series servo drives are all digital industrial drives with a velocity loop bandwidth up to 800 Hz which provides increased system throughput and simplified tuning. The non-metallic Alligator® Spiral Lace fastener system provides a quick-replacement, low-profile, easy separable alternative to high-downtime vulcanized splicing for thin, light-duty conveyor belts. As a totally non-metallic splice, Spiral Lace accommodates applications guarded by metal detectors or X-ray monitors, does not mark or scratch products being conveyed and is approved for use in food or pharmaceutical production. It features continuous plastic spirals similar to notebook binding, which are provided pre-assembled into a webbing material. This assembly is then fabricated into both belt ends through various vulcanizing/
bonding processes. When the belt ends are brought together, the spirals mesh and a polyester connecting pin is inserted through the loops to lock the spirals into a hinged joint.
