SPECSHIELD 2H or 5H shielding gas will improve the colour of your welds. It will also increase the welding performance and the quality of the welds.

BOC Canada

The end-discharge Model V-34 is a high production, highly automated vibratory finishing machine with four compartments that protect parts from nicks, scratches and other damage during the finishing process. Compartments of the U-shaped, urethane lined tube are created by removable dividers that allow parts of various configurations and sizes up to 24 cubic inches to be in the tub at the same time without fear of impingement. Discharge of media from the vibratory tub is accomplished with an air-operated door that allows it to flow from the tub to the media separator, without worker involvement.

Alexander Tools Ltd.

The Cantilevered Positioner System with a programmable control provides precise speed regulation to Gullco's GP range of positioners via its new programmable microprocessor control. The tach feedback control ensures smooth, accurate rotation of the workpiece and is able to activate pneumatic welding gun positioning slides, wire-feed stop/start signal; table rotation stop/start at any point, 0° to 999°. This enables any automated operation that can fit on the positioner such as stitch welding, rotary welding on pipe with complete 360° rotation, plus overlap.

Gullco International Limited

The Millennium Press series is designed to accomplish a wide range of operations on a single press. It is equally suited to heavy blanking, forming and coining, as well as heavy progressive die and transfer work. The series has a tonnage range of 300 to 2000 metric tons, with bed sizes from 42" x 72" to 72" x 240". Each press is built-to-spec based on the user's requirements. Stroke range is 6" to 24". The press features herringbone gears throughout the press for high speeds and noise reduction; precise parallelism between ram and bed connections assured by an eight-  point gibbing system with replaceable hand-scraped bronze liners.

Press Technology Corporation

The DMQ-05 lab mill is a versatile 1/2 liter tank-sized mill which can be used in continuous as well as circulation modes. Ring screens can be easily adjusted to accommodate the use of grinding media from 1mm to as small as .3mm. The mill utilizes Delta discs which are indexed to provide directed and uniform media distribution throughout the mill chamber. This proprietary design eliminates shaft whip and mill vibration, while providing greater random media motion for improved milling efficiency. If required, the mill can be produced metal-free for certain ceramic applications where that is a consideration.

With fast cutting speeds, a fast auto wire feed system, and the EDM CNC, Fanuc iC Series Wire EDM machines maximize precision and productivity. Available in five models with Z-axis heights to 16", these machines provide accuracy and surface finishes and come standard with features including artificial intelligence cutting functions, microfinish power supplies, digital servo systems, linear glass scales, tooling packages, high-pressure flushing, chiller units, and quick-change cartridge filtration systems.

Methods EDM

This line of machine tool transformers is available in a wide range of lead configurations including lead wires, terminal blocks, lead screws and other configurations to suit specific customer needs. These transformers are suitable for machine tools, industrial controls, automation equipment and other industrial equipment applications requiring an isolated step down transformer. This new line of Monobloc rotary tooling is designed for material removal operations. All tapers are manufactured to ISO tolerance AT3 and feature bright, ground surfaces. The compact laser NC4 features tool setting transmitter and receiver units measuring just 30 mm (diameter) x 35 mm (height), less than 1.5 inches in each dimension. This space-saving design allows the NC4 system to bring fast non-contact tool setting and tool breakage detection to machines previously unsuitable for such applications. The NC4 system offers highly repeatable toolsetting at system separations of up to 5 meters. Depending on separation distances, tools as small as 0.2 mm diameter can be measured at any selectable point along the laser beam, and breakage detection carried out on tools as small as 0.1 mm.

The Speedglas® 9002 lenses provide a greatly enhanced level of versatility to the welder by offering 61 user-selectable combinations of shade/delay/sensitivity. The lenses incorporate three new "Delay" settings which let the user decide how quickly the lens change from dark to light. The lenses also employ newly developed detectors which increase sensitivity to a wide range of welding methods, even extremely stable arcs like those from low amp TIG inverters. Four user-selectable sensitivity settings are included. Ultraviolet and infrared protection is constant, whether the lens has darkened or not.

OBS hydraulic stamping presses feature advanced electronics, hydraulics and CNC microprocessor controls. Three-minute die change enables fast part-to-part changeover to meet market trends to smaller and more varied lot sizes on shorter lead times. The standard CNC controller with program storage allows fast, accurate setups on repeat jobs. All press parameters can be setup in seconds, including timing interface for coil feed applications. Available in 75, 110, 175 and 250 ton capacities with 8" to 12" stroke, the versatile OSB presses allow blanking, forming, drawing, punching and crimping, all on the same machine.

Cincinnati Incorporated

Rex-Cut MX Plus™ cotton fiber mounted points are impregnated with aluminum oxide abrasives in a proprietary bond and are available in coarse, medium,  and fine grits for deburring, blending, and finishing welding fabrications. Featuring smooth operator control, without chatter or vibration, they are capable of leaving a 32 RMS surface finish on stainless steel and aluminum. Effective for removing the scratches resulting from carbide burrs, resinoid and vitrified points, and coated abrasive products, the points can also be used for blending corner welds, deburring holes, and breaking edges without removing the base metal.

Rex-Cut Products, Inc.

The Romicron is a reliable ultra-precise boring system for finishing high precision bores by adjusting the tip of the boring tool in a completely unique fast and accurate fashion. The system permits adjustments of 0.000040" on the tool radius without removing the tool from the machine. The system is ideal for production applications that demand statistical process control with CpK of 1.33 or greater. Boring range is 4.0 mm to 326 mm. There are five modular versions for applications with diameters starting at 50 mm and larger. Its clearly marked graduated dial makes it easy to see each adjustment, and the definite stop at each graduation allows the operator to feel and hear the (click) adjustment.

Romi Machine Tools, Ltd.

The SV312 deep scribing unit creates a deep, highly continuous line mark at a speed of 19 characters, 7mm tall, in less than 10 seconds. The SV312 integrable marking machine is ideal for scribing on a variety of metallic parts of various shapes and states of surfaces such as VIN marking, shock towers and engine blocks in assembly and automatic production line environments. It features a maximum scribing depth of 0.3mm in steel at 110 HB and 0.25mm in cast iron. The unit utilizes the independent, user friendly UC312 control unit with screen, internal software and keyboard to speed programming and eliminate the need for a PC or PLC.

The StuderGRIND programming system allows shops to respond to RFQs with complete confidence that they can in fact make the part, meeting all the RFQs requirements. It also alerts the shop to those jobs it should not quote and clearly lays out the reasons why. With StuderGRIND, the shop can use the data provided by the customer to make a graphic representation of the machine with the necessary tooling. This consists of the wheel dressers, of which the most important types are already stored in the database, and the grinding wheels -- complete details of the ones most commonly used for a variety of applications and materials.

United Grinding Technologies

Aremco's Corr-Paint™ CP4060 is a single part, red-pigmented, silicone based, water-dispersible coating system for protecting large aluminum and steel structures used in demanding industrial applications to 593°C. The product demonstrates excellent adhesion to sandblasted as well as marginally prepared metal surfaces, dries rapidly at room temperature and cures easily as the coated structure is ramped up to its operating temperature. The resultant coating is colour stable at high temperatures and resistant to oxidation, ultraviolet light, humidity and salt spray.

Aremco Products, Inc.

Metabo has upgraded seven angle grinders resulting in more power and improved performance. The 4 1/2" and 5" grinders, which now feature an 8 amp motor, are ideal for grinding and cutting various metals in many welding and construction applications. All of the upgraded grinders feature Metabo's long-lasting motor with a special epoxy resin coating on the field coil and a winding protection grid that deflects airborne debris away from armature windings, increasing motor life. The S-automatic safety clutch, which protects the  tool and user from dangerous kickbacks in the event of a wheel jam, as well as a tool-less guard adjustment are standard on the angle grinders.

Metabo Corporation

The CIMSTAR® 3800 family of fluids was developed to meet the tough challenges of aluminum machining and grinding in the automotive industry, but works equally well with titanium, exotic alloys and both ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. It combines lubricity, biostability, low misting and low foaming. It also provides cleanliness and bimetallic corrosion control for parts, individual machines and central plant systems. Smaller users can monitor their own fluids right on the plant floor by utilizing a variety of fluid checking tools -- from refractometers to simple test strips to check concentrations in individual machine sumps.

Milacron

The Axis™ Keyway Cutter is an innovative, fluid-driven solution designed to slash floor-to-floor cycle times by eliminating secondary broaching or milling operations. Driven by a machining centre's coolant system, the unit machines keyways and splines -- without spindle rotation -- in bores down to 1/2" diameter. By harnessing the inherent pressure of the machining centre's coolant system, the keyway cutter combines keyway cutting with turning and/or boring operations. The unit is available in five standard shank sizes: BT 40, CT 40, CT 50, HSK63A, and straight shank. Four head sizes are available, each matched with one of  three cutter diameters.

Command Tooling Systems

The ServoSheeter now offers optional easier controls and a new optional fixed-gap shear for cutting through denser materials. It provides high-speed operation and close tolerance performance. Its down-acting scissor shear cuts clean in short and long increments. The new optional fixed-gap shear allows clean cuts through dense materials. It also has a brushless servo motor for minimal maintenance and heavy duty components for long life performance. Optional Allen-Bradley PLC controls are also available, allowing an operator to control equipment from a remote touchscreen. The equipment can also be Automation Engineered to communicate within other equipment in a facility.
