The KN series capacitive level sensor detects low-dielectric, reduced-moisture materials in plastics processing applications. The sensor's "set and forget" one-step pushbutton setup completely eliminates multiple sensitivity adjustments. The sensor is resistant to high levels of electrostatic discharge and its sensing face can withstand temperatures up to 110°C. The KN sensor's patented noise immune circuitry ignores interference from motor drives and switching power supplies. Super Air Amplifiers offer a simple way to move air, smoke, fumes and light materials. The durable, aluminum die cast construction incorporates a unique shim that releases precise amounts of compressed air at exact intervals through the centre of the amplifier. These jets of air create a constant, high velocity outlet flow across the entire cross sectional area. Additional air is pulled through the unit, producing outlet flows up to 25 times that of the compressed air consumed. Wind shear is minimized to reduce noise levels and there are no "dead spots". The vacuum and discharge ends of the amplifier can be ducted, making them suitable for drawing fresh air from another location.

To reduce the oxidation process in an open-loop system, the product is enhanced with special oxidation inhibitors to prevent this oxidative degradation and deposits. The heat transfer fluid is designed for a maximum film temperature of 600°F and a maximum system bulk temperature of 550°F.

PIAB offers its portable stand as an accessory for maneuvering vacuum conveyors. The Bi-Tec series of self-ventilating, quick release couplings combines a sliding valve and quick lock mechanism which provides the handling and safety functions. The coupling process is pressure-less: simply press the connector into the coupling. The only resistance is the force of the spring. Pushing the blue sliding valve forward will allow pressure to be built-up. In this position, it is impossible, by error or deliberately, to interrupt the connection. The venting process starts when the sliding sleeve is moved into its home position. The connector can be removed by actuating the unlocking sleeve.

RIVET SEAL
for multi-chemical processes

SEPTEC is a new rivetable self-sealing septum -- a rivet seal that, once installed in a panel, has the characteristics of a septum. After installation with a standard handheld blind riveter in a 5mm hole, 1.5mm wall, a needle or double/triple needle, wires, electrodes or probes may be inserted through the rivet and the septum membrane of the component. This opens the capacity to add, remove, or act on a substance inside a cavity after sealing. Applications include multi-chemical processes, gas, liquid and/or solid insertion/dosing/removal, anode-cathode reactions and plating, electrical activation, etc. SEPTEC is made of an aluminum eyelet, a hollow steel mandrel and a Dupont® Hytrel® 4069 engineering thermoplastic elastomer membrane. Only the membrane material is in contact with the content and wall of the cavity.

Tec-N-Tec

The 11" random orbital sander is suitable for use on large areas of solid surface, fiberglass, wood and many other materials. It features a powerful .7 hp air motor and runs at 2,400 rpm. The 3/4" diameter random orbital action assures a swirl-free finish on a variety of surfaces. The sander includes a 56231 Hook-Face Sanding Pad for accepting abrasive discs 11 1/4" in diameter. The "Clean Curtains" enable separation between cleaning and processing to save time and product . These curtains have a slick surface able to shed water and soils, and are available either in a 40 mil PVC, 40 mil USDA grade or 40 mil antimicrobial PVC. To eliminate trapped contamination the curtains have welded seams and do not have sewn joints or hems. Curtain panels are clear from top to bottom for visibility. The panels overlap to prevent wash breakthrough, yet allow traffic to pass easily from one area to the next. The 304 stainless steel roller and track assembly are designed for easy cleaning.
