AutomationDirect has introduced a line of non-fused switch disconnects. The SD1 series non-fused disconnects allow breaking and disconnecting on equipment loads of up to 600 VAC, at a nominal current range from 16A to 40A. SD2 series non-fused disconnects allow breaking and disconnecting on equipment loads of up to 600 VAC, at a nominal current range from 63A to 125A. Both series are DIN rail or panel-mountable and feature high breaking capacity (AC 22A to AC 23A), double break contacts, high electrical and mechanical endurance, and are resistant to damp heat. The non-fused disconnects have an IP20 degree of protection and are HACR rated. Both series include an integrated rotary handle and an optional extension shaft and remote rotary handle for outside the panel/door mounting applications.

AutomationDirect

MISUMI has expanded its family of products to include precision cast and welded angle plates for use in mounting fixtures, air cylinders, actuators and motors. Available in sizes ranging from 3-inches to 18-inches in height, the plates combine an iron, steel, SS 304 or aluminum casting reinforced for extra strength with straightness and perpendicularity within 0.003 inch over a 6-inch run to guarantee a precision fit with no gaps between the machinery and the plate. Faces and edges have been machined flat, square and parallel. MISUMI will custom-configure hole sizes and progressions to fit the nature of a product design. In addition, the plates are available with standard pre-drilled mounting hole patterns as well as without holes to allow the customer to drill the plates in-house.

The Precision T-2 dry ice blasting machine uses as little as 12 cfm of air and 1/4 pound of dry ice per minute. Dry ice is propelled at high velocity to strike and clean a surface. The size 8 (21mm square -- 0.8") hybrid external linear actuator replaces four different components -- a motor, coupling, lead screw and nut. Shaft to lead screw couplers are not needed with this design, thus saving time and labour during assembly into the final application assembly. The rotating acme stainless steel lead screw is incorporated into the motor's rotor. This unit is available in a wide variety of resolutions ranging from 0.0015mm to 0.04mm per full step and delivers thrust of up to 4.5Kg without compromising long life. A standard size 8 external linear has 4" of visible lead screw; however, lead screw length, coil termination, and the external nut, can be customized to fit your application requirements.

The new three-ton capacity machine screw actuator is designed for applications requiring positive mechanical positioning. The unit has a standard 24.2 efficiency rating, can be driven at 2 horsepower maximum and is available with top plate, clevis end, or threaded end mounts. The actuator can be driven either by a manual crank or via gear motor, which is connected, to the horizontal worm shaft. Translating contact is made between the bronze worm gear and the turning worm shaft. The machined inner diameter of the worm gear makes sliding contact propelling the lifting screw back and forth.

Stanley Vidmar's Mobile Workcenter functions as a FOD cabinet to help technicians find tools quickly and prevent foreign object damage. Foam inserts in the cabinet's drawers are cut with profiles of individual tools. The inserts reduce both FOD and tool loss by making it obvious when tools are missing and makes technicians more productive by making it easy for them to find tools when needed. The inserts also reduce tool damage due to improper storage. The new FOD cabinet comes with one wide drawer just below the cabinet surface.
