The IMS Safety Muting System easily integrates into nearly any entrance and exit conveyor system application and is engineered to distinguish between material and people entering a dangerous area. This differentiation is achieved by arranging the muting sensors in such a way that only a very particular combination of signals triggered by incoming material allows the system to enter a safety-muted state. With the IMS, an immediate machine stop is triggered if the proper sensor sequence or combination does not occur, e.g. if a person has entered the access area. If, however, a product is passing by on a conveyor, the system detects this without interrupting the workflow by muting, or temporarily inhibiting the operation of the safety system so that manufacturing operations continue normally.

Checking CO levels is as easy as pushing just one button on Extech's new carbon monoxide meter, model C050, which measures up to 10,000ppm. The backlighting on the display automatically switches on in low light areas. An audible indicator increases in tone up to 30ppm. Above 30ppm, a two-tone alarm is activated. There is a 0 to 999ppm display for low end monitoring. The meter provides a 15 minute ambient room test and stores the peak value.

Kimberly-Clark is extending its line of KIMTECH PREP™ wipers for the WETTASK® Refillable Wiping System. The wiper is a meltdown base sheet that can be used with bleach or solvents. Each sheet measures 12" x 12.25" and there are six rolls of 90 sheets per case, along with a free dispensing bucket. Users simply place a dry roll of the appropriate wiper in the bucket and then add their own cleaning solution. The sheets are dispensed via a port at the top of the bucket. The enclosed system helps reduce cross-contamination and exposure  to chemical vapours or splashes.

Glo Brite® Egress Pathway Strips are durable aluminum extrusions with inset photoluminescent tape. Designed to absorb and store energy from ambient light, these strips are immediately visible in the event of a blackout. The strips affix easily to walls and along handrails to provide a continuous exit pathway in an emergency.
