PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE SENSOR
monitors air consumption

The efector Metris compressed air sensor continuously monitors compressed air systems to identify leakage areas and to improve energy efficiencies. Compressed air system leaks are typically found at pipe joints, couplings and connections. The sensor can be mounted in a supply pipe to monitor one machine, or mounted in a plant zone to monitor several machines. Two sensing methods are used to monitor compressed air usage. During machine operation, the sensor compares the machine's ideal air consumption to the actual air consumption. Any difference in the two readings indicates an air leak. When the machine is shut down, efector Metris will continue to monitor air consumption. Any measured air usage indicates an air leak.

COATED GLOVE
features "sponge nitrile" technology

The Zorb-ITŪ glove features a "sponge nitrile" technology. This sponge nitrile coated glove offers an extra-absorbent coating that conforms and adheres to the nylon shell. Zorb-ITŪ will absorb almost twice as much oil and grease while still delivering a sure grip. It also withstands numerous launderings with no shrinkage and doesn't delaminate after only a few washings.

SHAFT COLLARS
provide choice of bore design

Stafford shaft collars are now offered with various types of threaded-, square-, smooth-, hex-, and keyed-bores to precisely match positive drive shafts. They can be ordered in standard one-piece, two-piece and hinged-collar styles machined from steel, 303 stainless steel, and aluminum. Eliminating the need for custom machined collars, Stafford shaft collars with different bores are offered in standard inch/metric sizes from 1/8" to 10" I.D. (3.175 mm to 254 mm). Specials can be fabricated from other materials including 316 stainless steel, brass, bronze, and exotic alloys.

TOOL STORAGE SYSTEM
provides secure storage and access for specialty tools

The new Remstar Light SentinelŪ Specialty Tool Storage System offers monitored access to up to 360 individual tools and items used in manufacturing operations. It is a system of vertically rotating shelves that move up and down along a tracking guide, delivering stored items to an operator. To access the unit, an operator enters or scans an employee ID number. To retrieve or store a tool or item, the operator selects the items from an inventory list either by entering the part or SKU number or part description on the system's 12-inch SVGA touch panel. The carousel rotates to the exact shelf location, delivering the tool to an ergonomically situated work counter. Light beacons indicate which part to pick. The system's photocell grid allows the operator to pick or remove only the selected item. If the photocell grid is broken, a strobe light beacon and piezo siren are activated to signal a system security breach. An optional video camera automatically e-mails a photo of the violator to a supervisor.
