RP Custom Resistive Chain Level Measurement Sensors are shock resistive and have an anti-stick float design. Users provide specifications based on their particular application, thus enabling the devices to work with precision in a variety of industries. RP level sensors have numerous applications in bulk liquid product industries such as chemical, oil, food processing, waste treatment and shipping. Models are available in lengths and material of construction defined by the user, with a wide variety of available mounting configurations. The In-Sight® 5400S stainless steel vision sensor is suitable for the toughest environments. It is an industrial-grade vision sensor that meets IEC specifications for shock and vibration, and achieves an IP68/NEMA 6P rating that stands up to chemical washdown and submersion in food, beverage, cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications. The sensor can be used to sort objects, detect proper fill levels, inspect labels, caps and safety seals, verify label text, date and lot codes, read linear and 2D codes and count and verify products in car tons. The 5400S includes a powerful library of vision software, as well as built-in Ethernet communications and In-Sight Explorer software.

The Master Control Module lets users create a "virtual HMI", allowing machines to be controlled and monitored via any networked PC with a standard web browser. This feature also facilitates access and control of any connected device in the system, including PLCs and motor drives. The new Red Lion Master Controller can also log system data directly to CompactFlash in Microsoft Excel-compatible CSV files; these files can be retrieved via USB or the web-server. The versatility of the controller with virtual HMI, paired with either dedicated PID control or data acquisition modules, delivers remote monitoring, control and triggering capabilities to a host of legacy machines.

Red Lion Controls, Inc.

The Rosemount Analytical Model 398 TupH® pH/ORP sensor has the chemical resistance and mechanical durability for harsh applications such as pulp and paper, chemical and plastics manufacturing. It features PEEK helical reference pathway technology for chemical resistance; an AccuGlass pH electrode to resist cracking and perform well in dirty, high-solid environments; the patented SILCORE triple-seal contaminant barrier to further protect the integrity of the pH measurement; and chemical-resistant titanium and Tefzel® construction. The SILCORE triple-seal contaminant barrier prevents moisture and material impurities from migrating to the reference electrode's lead wire, protecting the precision of the sensor measurement.

Emerson Process Management

Model AST4200 panel-mount pressure sensors are designed to provide a hermetic seal against the media with the use of adapters. The unique one-piece bulkhead design of the AST 4200 mounts through the panel to keep hazardous media out of the control box. The solid one-piece 17-4PH or 316L high strength stainless steel design is free of welds, internal O-rings or fluid-filled cavities, making it ideal for applications that require high proof and burst pressures. The sensor requires a minimal mounting configuration that utilizes a standard panel punch.

American Sensor Technologies, Inc.

Series BV2 electric and pneumatic flanged ball valves offer ANSI 150# flanged ends for easy installation. 1/2" through 4" sizes are standard for great flow rates with minimal pressure drop. The valve features a blowout-proof stem for added safety, reinforced Teflon seats and seals for longer life and a 316SS ball for better performance. Actuators are direct mounted creating a compact assembly for tight spaces. Double o-ring stem seals assure leak free operation. The BV2 series automated valve package is available with either an electric or pneumatic actuator.

Dwyer Instruments, Inc.

The new Class II, eye-safe MR L-1 Distance Laser Sensors are designed for non-contact measurement of solid, semi-solid or most fluid surfaces in a wide variety of inside and outdoor environments. The sensors are available for short and long distance measurements from 0.2 meters to 200 meters. Accuracy varies from +/-1.5mm to +/-3.0mm, depending on the sensor. Measurement time is approximately 0.3 seconds. Measurement beam diameter varies from 6 to 60 mm depending on the distance measured.

These keylock switches provide protection against unauthorized access and offer higher levels of safety control. Protected to IP67 standards, they can withstand harsh environments and also be supplied as flush mount thus heightening their level of security against vandalism. Available in a choice of bezel shapes including round, square and rectangular, they are offered in a multitude of mounting sizes for either panel or PCB mount applications. The range also features options such as 2 or 3 positions, momentary and maintained actions, and either standard or high-security keys that cannot be copied. EAO

Right angle style, Banking Screw Adapters, allow non-contact sensors to stop heavy loads and sense around corners to deliver mission critical control signals to their PLC's and PC's. Each BSA-A requires a customer-supplied 8 or 12mm inductive sensor. Consisting of heat-treat hardened, zinc-plated alloy steel components, the threaded barrel and spring-loaded piston are capable of stopping loads up to 20,500 Newtons/4,600 lbs. Inductive sensors adapt to BSA-A barrels via a Delrin® block which places the sensor's sensing face at a right angle to an integral stainless steel target.

SoftNoze

The T-GAGE™ passive, non-contact temperature devices detect objects that are either hotter or colder than the ambient condition and then trigger an output. They are extremely easy to set up because they use Banner's advanced TEACH-mode push-button programming that requires no potentiometer adjustments. The sensors are especially useful for monitoring production lines. They operate even if the product isn't moving and can sense temperature changes as small as 3°C. The sensors are ideal for a wide variety of applications in the process, food production, assembly, packaging, materials handling and general manufacturing industries.

Balluff is introducing a new family of 18 two-wire AC inductive sensors with a current load capacity of 500mA. These tubular style sensors are available in M12 through M30 sizes in shielded and unshielded configurations. Multiple cable lengths are available. They are suitable for non-contact presence sensing of metal objects in virtually any industry application for positioning, automation, discrete control, or process monitoring.

Model 2901A digital temperature and time controller features digital sensing and microprocessor-based solid state technology for reliability and accuracy. Offering a broad temperature control range from 4°C to 530°C, the controller can be used for a variety of commercial food equipment and industrial control applications. Five operating modes provide the user with a great degree of flexibility for time only control or simultaneous temperature and time control. Depending on the mode selected, users can program for simple on/off temperature/time control, cook/heat and setback temperatures, or hold and cooking/heating temperatures.

The Signet 2551 Display Magmeter, an insertion style electromagnetic flow sensor, provides increased functionality with built-in display, empty pipe detection and bi-directional flow capabilities. These features, combined with its availability in PVDF/Hastelloy C wetted parts, enable the unit to meet a wide range of application needs. With no moving parts to wear or foul, the 2551 accurately measures flow in fluids containing a high content of particles, solids and fibers, making it suitable for applications with dirty fluids. The new display unit provides a convenient, all-in-one, integral device that allows local measurement readings, thus reducing the number of separate components required at the sensing point.

Durex now offers high quality temperature controls from stock for new and existing applications. The controls feature a selectable fuzzy logic or auto-tune PID mode and are now available in 1/16DIN, 1/8DIN, 1/4DIN sizes. Other features include three alarms with up to 17 different alarm options. Universal inputs and power supply features are standard.

This extended family of solid state relay power controller assemblies is designed for a wide range of industrial applications. These assemblies are available with either phase fired or time base zero crossing outputs. A wide variety of selectable control inputs is also available and each unit provides an LED input status indicator. Output is proportional to the input signal, with current ratings available up to 100 amps @ up to 660 VAC (to 40°C). The following models are available: TPLP loop powered controller assembly, TP time proportional controller assembly and LPC linear phase controller assembly.

HBControls, Inc.

McMillan's 101 & 102 series Flo-Sensors provide precise liquid flow measurement. The flow sensors can be constructed from plastic or brass and provide a 0-5VDC analog output proportional to flow rate. Flow rates can be measured as low as 13 mL/minute. With better than +/-3.0% linearity (full scale) and 0.2% repeatability (full scale), these flow totalizing systems provide accurate measurement of liquid flow. Compact packaging allows for easy integration into new or existing equipment.

McMillan Company

These durable snap-action rotary switches are suitable for a wide variety of industrial uses. Designed to withstand shock, vibration and other severe conditions, they have double-wiping, low-resistance contacts that hold their positions inside fully enclosed decks and deliver DC or AC switching. Available in a large selection of models, the switches carry continuous ratings from 20 to 200 amps at 600 volts and can be configured with up to 4 positions and 12 poles. The snap-action design assures quick make and break action (approximately 10-millisecond transfer time) that is not dependent on the operator.

Recently improved Lineas® Weigh In Motion sensors use compact cables that promote faster installation. Installation slots and channels cut into the pavement which route the system. Interconnecting cables are made with fewer cutting slices. The new cabling reduces slot width to 8mm. Available in two sensing lengths that accommodates all lane widths.

Kistler

The 8mm diameter proximity sensors have an extended range of 2mm. The 12mm diameter sensor has a 4mm sensing range. The body is completely machined from stainless steel, including the thick sensing face, making it suitable for rugged applications. To ensure that material does not adhere to the sensor, including weld splatter, the stainless steel body and mounting hardware have been coated with PTFE material. These sensors operate from 10 to 30 VDC and can be supplied in NPN, PNP or DC 2-wire models. The high intensity LED output indicator light can easily be seen from a distance.

The 100 series K locking lever switch allows the toggle to be locked in any of three positions to prevent unintentional actuation. Optimized for rugged environments, the panel-mounted switch is intended for wide application in instrumentation, test circuits and industrial control equipment. Featuring plated brass and stainless steel construction, the locking lever switch has a minimum electrical and mechanical life of 40,000 cycles.

E-Switch

The series 61 16mm industrial oil and watertight switches are available in an extensive range of options. EAO can supply a choice of actuators including pushbuttons, indicators, keylocks and selector switches as well as EN-418 rated emergency stops in round, square or rectangular switch, mounted raised or flush to the panel. The series 636D explosion-proof differential pressure transmitters are constructed of welded 316 stainless steel with all 316L wetted materials and are designed to withstand the most demanding media and environmental conditions. This transmitter has a CSA explosion-proof rating which is ideal for sensing differential pressures of gases, liquids and vapours in the specified hazardous locations. The series is available with a 4-20mA current output (standard) or optional voltage output. Available differential pressure ranges include 0-6 to 0-500 psid and feature a 0.5% full scale accuracy.

Dwyer Instruments, Inc.

The Micropulse ProSet4 offers a new option for hydraulic cylinder position sensing, with four built-in programmable setpoint outputs for detection of end-of-stroke or any position in between. The non-contact unit is ideal for position feedback on tables, slides, assembly machines, cut-off machines and presses. The IP67 rated ProSet4 offers repeatability of +/-0.1mm/+/-0.004". The four setpoint system can not only detect cylinder end-of-stroke, it can also define intermediate points to change piston speed and direction anywhere along the length of piston travel. Two cam profile modes offer two signal changes per output, allowing additional motion flexibility with minimum hardware.
