h&pt 2005/139 CRACK CHASER SAW
for crack and joint repair

The Sawtec® CC-100 crack chaser is a walk-behind crack chasing saw that cuts concrete or asphalt to a 1-inch depth. The unit cuts 6 to 8 feet of crack per minute, or up to 3,000 linear feet in a day, depending on the material being cut. Highly maneuverable, it features a swivel caster and a retractable control handle and uses small 5" or 6" diameter dry diamond blades in 0.250", 0.375" or 0.500" widths. The smaller blade allows a tighter turning radius, making it easier to follow random cracks.

h&pt 2005/129 SCREW DRIVING ACCESSORY
makes quick work of difficult projects

PAM has introduced a new screwdriver accessory that holds screws in place while attaching them to easy and hard-to-reach areas. The PAM Fastening E-Z Driver quickly attaches to any screwdriver or drill in seconds and is used to firmly hold screws while driving them, which is especially useful while fastening in awkward positions. The E-Z Driver's unique ball bearing system holds phillips and square drive screws, allowing for one hand operation. A variety of screw driving settings are available for round-headed screws, flush mounting and countersinking control of screws. A simple rotating ring that locks into place dictates driving depth, yet does not harm the surface. When the correct height is achieved, the E-Z Driver clutch gently releases the screw and is ready for the next one.

hp&t 2005/133 SCREWDRIVER
with square-recess tip

Two Rapi-Driv® screwdrivers are available with a No. 1 or No. 2 square-recess tip. The crank-action handle of the tool spins screws fast with just a slight twist of the wrist. The design allows quick, easy one-handed operation. The shaft rotates in the handle to save time and effort, especially on long-threaded screws such as those used in switch plates and light fixtures. Both screwdrivers feature the comfortable Cushion-Grip® handle. The soft, black sleeve interlocks permanently with the slotted plastic handle. Its deep-rooted design and cushioning enable greater turning power and comfort. The grip also resists oil, gas and water. The handle ends are colour-coded for easy identification and selection of the proper tip.

h&pt 2005/134 TORQUE TESTER
for precision screwdrivers

A new series of torque testers for precision assembly tools feature many new functions. Up to 200 readings can be stored in memory with time/date stamp. They can easily download collected data to a personal computer, exporting to Excel® spreadsheets for reporting or further manipulation. The DDT testers have nine user-selectable torque units and an Auto Reset mode which speeds use by avoiding manual resetting between readings. When desired, the testers can "beep" to indicate a user-set torque range has been met. Five versions are available.

PNEUMATIC TORQUE WRENCH
is fast and accurate

The model PT52 Pneutorque pneumatic torque wrench, with its compact 52mm diameter gearbox and totally new air motor design, is engineered to be an especially fast, lightweight tool with smooth, continuous operation at low sound and vibration levels. Its small gearbox and ergonomics also permit easy access to bolts. The PT52 offers two torque capacities: 1,000 N.m with a maximum speed of 125 rep or 600 N.m with a maximum speed of 200 rpm. There are also two torque control methods: stall and electronic shutoff. The basic stall tool employs inlet air pressure to control torque. Each stall tool is supplied with an air pressure versus torque graph by which to set specific torque values. The electronic shutoff version includes a torque transducer, torque  display and internal solenoid valve. The desired torque tolerance is set on the tool and once the lower limit is achieved, the valve cuts the air supply.
