BRECOflex pulleys are available with reduced or zero backlash and with or without flanges, bores, hubs and keyways. Flanges are supplied in steel zinc plate, however, other materials are available. Bores come in many configurations to suit any application, such as finished bores, pilot bores, bores for QD bushings, Taper Lock Bushings and counterbores. The pulleys come in a variety of materials: Aluminum for standard requirements; Steel for high-torque applications and abrasive requirements; stainless steel for high-torque applications that cannot tolerate rust; Delrin for applications requiring lightweight and rust-free operation. Other materials are available upon request.

Nordex Flexing Couplings are available in two styles: Six Beam Couplings when flexibility is needed and Three Beam Couplings for more torsionally rigid requirements. Both styles offer no backlash and are reversible. Flexing Couplings are obtainable in stainless steel or aluminum material, with set screw or clamp hubs. Inch and Metric sizes, as well as special bore combinations and plastic materials, are available on request. The couplings will readily accommodate any combination of axial motion, angular and parallel misalignment. These couplings are ideal for power transmission applications such as stepper motors and servo motors in motion control systems.

With a footprint of just 35mm x 105mm, this new range of DC drives fit easily into existing control panel or save space in new designs. The controller's slim design saves space and allows placement adjacent to other control panel components. Easy access to drive adjustments, plug on screw terminals and the DIN-rail-mounting package means that these controllers clip into place without needing further engineering. The non-isolated drives are designed for use with permanent magnet or shunt wound DC motors. Power ratings range from 0.55kW to 1.8kW at 180VDC.

The HDP (Heavy Duty Parallel Shaft) speed reducers are now available in Canada. The first four of a total of 12 sizes can be installed in a wide variety of configurations, leading to a wide range of application possibilities. The largest model, HDP 90, provides 146,000 in lbs of rated torque. The four models now available are rated: 41, 150, 547,960, 101,775 and 146,500 in lbs and provide the power for a wide range of uses. They are currently in 2 or 3 stages with ratios from 7:1 to 112:1. With a foot or flange configuration, with hollow shaft for slot and keyway, the new HDP units can be mounted to satisfy applications in mixing, stirring, conveying or lifting.

The Danaher RediMount™ motor mounting system is now a standard feature on all Thomson ball and lead screw driven positioning slides. The system is a flexible tool that simplifies the integration of Thomson slides into automated assemblies. At time of order users simply request a standard NEMA mount, or provide mounting information specific to their motor, or provide the motor manufacturer's name and part number. The housing and coupling are machined from common blanks to mate with the key characteristics of the customer's motor: bolt size and bolt circle diameter on the motor flange; motor pilot diameter; and a motor shaft diameter and length. This allows Thomson slides to easily mount, horizontally, vertically, inclined or inverted, to nearly any motor, with guaranteed alignment.

Danaher Motion

A new series of inch and metric flexible helical couplings feature one-piece Anodized Aluminum construction with set screw type or integral clamp split-hub type designs for fastening to both shafts. They have the ability to adapt to both high- and low-speed applications with a high level of fatigue resistance. Their angular misalignment compensation is 5°, with a maximum parallel offset range of 0.25mm (+/-.010") and an axial motion range of 0.25mm (+/-/010"). Identified as the S560HAWM (Metric) S50HAA- (Inch) series, they are designed to fit shafts ranging in diameter from 3 to 12 mm in metric and 3/32" to 1/2" in inch sizes. Their O.D. ranges from 15 to 30 mm in metric and 3/8" to 1 1/8" in inch. Lengths are available from 22 to 38 mm and from 3/8" to 1 1/4".

Hard-Line tees feature a barb designed for use with harder durometer tubing such as polyethylene 55 Shore D and polypropylene 80 Durometer. The barb itself has a very sharp sealing point that is slightly larger than the fitting's shaft. This sealing technology eliminates the need for "suck-down" around the trailing edge of the barb for a good time seal. The fittings have been tested up to 200 psi, holding a good seal without the use of hose clamps. The "hard-line" sealing point is designed slightly larger than the tubing's ID, allowing for ease of assembly with rigid tubing.

Dow Corning

The LazerSafe LZS-003 safeguarding system for hydraulic press brakes combines operator safety and machine productivity. It uses a flat band of laser light that continuously covers the zone below the punch over a 40mm width. The operator can work within 20mm of the front of the punch and within 10mm of the rear of the punch with no disruption to the approach speed or bending process. The optical design detects obstructions as small as 4mm while still being tolerant to vibration. The LazerSafe transmitter and receiver are mounted on the ram of the press allowing the operator to stay close to the workpiece as the tools close on high speed. Due to the location and size of the beam, multiple bends in the material are easily accomplished without interrupting the laser beam.

The Joyce Ball Screw ComDRIVE system is a self-contained actuator package that combines a ball screw jack, motor, and gear reducer into a single compact package. The unit can power an entire jacking system, reducing the number of components customers need to specify. The drives come in translating screw and rotating screw (keyed for traveling nut) designs. They are available in one of four standard screw ends or special ends to meet custom requirements. All jack designs can be fitted with protective boots. Models are available in capacities up to 30 tons and provide speeds up to 26.3 inches per minute (CDB) and 55.5 inches per minute (CDBB).

The Stafford Thrust Collar Assembly consists of a male-female connecting hub which can be located along a shaft, allowing one side to be fixed and the other side to be adjusted by using the knurled O.D. or a wrench flat. Providing 3/8" axial adjustability, it can be used for applications ranging from pre-loading bearings to "crawling" heavy components along a shaft. Available in eight standard sizes from 3/8" to 1 1/4" I.D., the thrust collar assembly is well suited for tensioning springs, adjusting platform heights, and even freeing-up stuck components. Providing a simple axial adjustment solution, just clamp one side of the assembly on a shaft, move the other side, then clamp it, and repeat the process infinitely as needed.

Henkel has expanded its existing line of food grade NSF H1-approved Loctite® ViperLube® Synthetic Lubricants to include a high performance clear grease, two gear oils, and three lightweight oil grades. All are suitable for use in a wide range of industrial operating environments. Loctite® ViperLube® Clear Grease can be used as a general lubricant, a protective anti-rust film, or, in some cases as a release agent on gaskets and seals. The Loctite® ViperLube® Gear Oils can be used in all gear boxes including helical, herringbone, bevel and enclosed gears. The Loctite® ViperLube® Lightweight Oils extend the life of hydraulic systems, bearings, rotary screw compressors, chains and valves by transmitting energy, lubricating, sealing and transferring heat.

The MagSpring™ is a constant force spring that is totally passive and requires no electricity or air to operate. It provides this constant force throughout the entire range of motion. Its simple design consists of just two rugged components: a stator and a slider and provides simple, straight-forward design. The MagSpring can operate under wash-down conditions. It is available in forces from 11N to 60N and strokes from 1.97 in (50 mm) to 8.3 in (210 mm). Custom sizes and capabilities are available in larger quantities upon request.

The ACS 5000 multi-level, fuseless, medium voltage AC drive is rated from 5 to 14 MW and can be applied to standard industrial motors (asynchronous and synchronous) found in cement, mining and minerals, chemical oil and gas, marine, metals, pulp and paper, power generation and water and waste water treatment.
