WORM GEAR SPEED REDUCERS
stop oil leaks

The Flexbloc right angle worm gear speed reducers feature the Unicase® housing design and modular construction to suit specific requirements. The speed reducer stops oil leaks and lower operational noise due to its Unicase one-piece housing. This design eliminates bolt-on covers and split casting, to encompass all gearing within a single piece. Additionally, the aluminum alloy housing is corrosion resistant, never requires painting and offers improved heat dissipation for cooler operations and extended gear life. An array of bolt-on components can be easily configured to meet specific application requirements.

RIGID COUPLINGS
for precise motion control applications

Ruland has expanded its rigid coupling line to include smaller bore sizes. One- and two-piece rigid couplings are now offered with bores as small as 1/8" to support the increased use of rigid couplings in motion control applications. Ruland rigid couplings feature precision-honed bores for tight tolerance and precise alignment of the shafts to be connected. Screws have the special Nypatch treatment to prevent loosening when vibration is present in the system. Two-piece style rigid couplings also feature opposing screws for dynamic balancing and thus support higher speeds. The two-piece design allows for easy disassembly and maintenance without removing other shaft components.

BRUSHLESS MOTOR CONTROLLER
for high speed operations

Maxon's DEC 50/5 is a compact, digital, velocity controller designed for controlling brushless motors up to 250 watts equipped with hall sensors. The controller has a speed range of 1,000 to 60,000 rpm for 2-pole motors. Requiring a supply voltage of 12 to 50 VDC, the controller can deliver 95% of the supply voltage to the motor at 5 A continuous current or 10 A peak current. Velocity and torque can be controlled via a O to 5 V signal or via external potentiometers. Enable, direction and stop inputs may be activated via external switches. There is also a ready output as well as speed and current monitor outputs.

CAN STACK STEP MOTORS
for medical, HVAC and office automation applications

The Portescap 20M024 Can Stack Step Motors are available with unipolar or bipolar winding construction. Bipolar windings provide up to 1.6 oz-in of holding torque for high torque in a small package, allowing engineers to reduce their package size with a small diameter motor. Windings can be optimized to specific application requirements, with 1.25 watts of input power per winding. The Can Stack Steppers provide a 15 degree step angle and are ideal for a number of medical equipment applications, including analyzers, pipettes and scanners. Their small diameter also makes them a good choice of HVAC and office automation applications. Sintered bronze sleeve bearings are standard; ball bearings are available as an option.
