Hougen presents its holemaking tools for both in-shop and portable, on-site requirements. Among the technologies will be the lineup of portable magnetic drills, highlighted by the new HMD925 power feed model that features heavy-duty hole making capacity. The drill uses Rotabroach® Annual Cutters to produce holes from 7/16" to 1 1/4" diameter thru materials up to 2" thick using the power feed option. Maximum capacity using manual feed operation is 1 1/2" diameter. The HMD925 is compact, measuring just 435mm H x 274mm W x 284mm L and, at 16.8 kg is lightweight and maneuverable.

The integrated lock-in mechanism is a feature which facilitates the opening and closing of a locked-in drawer without the use of a trigger, which needs two hands to open. With this solution, you can open a drawer by simply tilting the handle up with only one hand and close it with a single push. The AS-I Smartlink Profibus DP Gateway has a reduced housing depth of 57mm. With its redesigned compact housing, the AS-I gateway utilizes smaller enclosures, thus saving space. Powered through AS-I, the gateway is ready for operation upon connection to the AS-I system and provides diagnosis and operation status via an integrated LED display. The gateway also features an enhanced menu structure that displays full menu titles and diagnostic information such as AS-I master configuration, control/status of digital I/Os, indication of analog values, and fault messages to assist in troubleshooting the system. The Smartlink Profibus Gateway can connect an AS-I system with up to 434 I/O points as one node on a higher level network.

Mitutoyo's MACH-V series CMM inspection machines were designed to meet the needs of flexible production lines. The new system has adopted an open stru cture to optimize structural design. This new design structure allows high throughput, with traverse speed up to 866mm/s and acceleration of 0.86G, yet maintains high accuracy. MACH-V operates in a broad temperature range from 15° to 35°C with full covers on the main unit minimizing temperature changes and other environmental influences. In the drive system, balance of the linear guide load resistance is maintained by using a field-proven method of roller structure, which was independently developed by Mitutoyo. The Y-axis, in particular, uses a new "centre drive system: (patent pending) that drives the X-axis beam.

SITRANS LPS200 paddles switch and LVS200 vibrating level switch now offer high temperature, high pressure and interface models. These switches provide reliable high and low level alarms for a wide variety of bulk solid applications. These switches are exceptionally durable, with special features including a dual bearing seal on the paddle switch that protects the mechanism from dust and moisture. They are easy to set up and can be readily connected to an alarm or control system. The unique friction clutch mechanism prevents damage by falling materials and avoids gear failure.
