On The Cover
ULTRASONIC DETECTOR
features internal data collector

The Ultrawave 170 MD Ultrasonic Detector simplifies complex data collection by allowing users to configure unlimited routes with onboard asset identification. Now, technicians can diagnose and store ultrasonic bearing data directly without having to lug around an external data collector. The SDT 170 directly downloads to PC software that can then share the data with other CMMS programs. The Ultrawave 170 is a multifunctional device that can monitor acoustic vibration from bearings as well as contact and non-contact infrared temperature, RPM, audible noise, and a host of parameters.

DIGITAL LASER OPTIC SENSOR
is 0.24" thick

The Keyence LV-S series of Super-small Digital Laser Optic Sensors includes the Side-View Reflective which is only 0.24" thick and 1/24" in length and is small enough to fit even the tightest spaces on production lines. The entire series includes 6 sensor head models. They all produce super-small, visible red beam spots ranging from 0.05" in diameter for LV-S41, 0.08" for the S31 and the 0.10" for the S61 and S71 -- all at a detecting distance of 500 mm.
