The efector PMD laser sensor provides non-contact distance measurement with a 10-meter sensing range. Contained in a compact, robust metal housing that measures only 42mm x 42mm, the sensor is designed for industrial applications and mounts easily in applications with limited space. The sensor's large 4-digit alphanumeric display precisely indicates the measured distance within a few millimeters. The display allows the sensor to be programmed for two setpoints or for one setpoint and one analog output. The display can also provide distance values in inches, millimeters or meters. Suitable for a broad range of applications, the PMD can operate as a long-range background suppression sensor. The Fluke 9040 phase rotation indicator measures phase rotation on three-phase electrical supplies that feed motors, drives and electrical systems. It indicates the presence of all three phases, together with phase rotation direction, on its clear LCD display. Electrical professionals can use the 9040 to quickly and easily determine correct connections and phase sequence. Its voltage range of 40 to 700V makes it suitable for industrial applications.

Incorporating proprietary application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) design, OMEGA's new DPG1200 series digital pressure gauges use a micro-machined silicon pressure sensor with no moving parts -- a micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) that insures a long life. The large LCD digital display, 15mm high, eliminates the guesswork that occurs when taking readings with an analog dial gauge and a push of a button zeroes the display. The auto-off function can be selected to work after 3 or 15 minutes, conserving the 9V alkaline battery included with every unit. The DPG1200 series has 1.0% full scale accuracy and is compatible with clean, dry air and non-corrosive gases. Units are available in vacuum, gauge or differential pressures with ranges of 5 to 5000 psi and 5 selectable units.

The Series 628 pressure transmitter is ideal for OEM's with its piezo-resistive sensor contained in a compact, rugged, NEMA 4X stainless steel housing. It is highly corrosive resistant with 316 L stainless steel wetted parts which allows pressure measurement in a multitude of processes, from hydraulic oils to chemicals. Units are manufactured in ranges of vacuum, compound to 5000 psi with a variety of optional outputs, process connections and electrical terminations.

The Hardy vibration switch provides rugged and reliable machine protection in a compact package. This self-contained monitoring system can be mounted to any location on rotating or reciprocating equipment and provides alarm or shutdown if excessive vibration levels are reached. No vibration expertise is required to install and set up the vibration switch, as all sensing and electronic components along with an LED alarm display are included in the stand-alone switch box. The switch also incorporates an integral relay to provide failsafe operation with both normally open and normally closed contacts in rugged installations. An optional 4-20mA analog output provides the capability to trend vibration levels on equipment as part of predictive maintenance efforts.

Siko has added several product enhancements to their line of mechanical digital position indicators. The primary enhancement for the position indicators incorporates a dampening mechanism on the primary gear. This results in supporting a greater start-up torque along with higher shock and impact specifications, while at the same time offering decreased backlash and higher rev limitations. Additional enhancements include larger digits coupled with clearer magnifying optics on the digital display, resulting in easy readability. Also included: larger installation tolerances and an increased range of custom gear ratios for translating shaft revolutions into meaningful measurement -- both linear and angular.

Setra's model 201 is an accurate pressure transducer for measuring very low differential pressure in gauge pressure ranges from 2 psi up to +/-25 in. W.C. and provides a 4 to 20 mA output. Its rugged design, wide-operating temperature range and high 45 PSI overpressure capability make it suitable for applications including vapor recovery systems, exhaust gas control systems and industrial scrubbers. The model 201 is an all-welded, no o-ring device which results in a leak-free design and is ideal for critical low-range applications. It features an Inconel® diaphragm and an insulated electrode which forms a variable capacitor. As the pressure sensor pressure increases, or decreases, the change in capacitance is detected and converted to a fully conditioned linear current output signal.

Alpha Controls & Instrumentation

The VTR series voltage transducers are housed in a slim, 23mm-wide DIN-rail package. Standard product features include True RMS sensing, quick response times, wide range of temperature application and galvanic isolation between input and outputs. The VTR series detects pending problems such as surges, brown out conditions and phase loss.
