The palm-sized ACR SmartReader® Plus 7 records a variety of different process signals including the popular 4-20mA and 0-5V. The data logger has one internal thermistor and seven input channels for monitoring (through commercially available transducers) a wide variety of measurement parameters such as flow, level, pressure, and much more. The self-powered logger has a 10-year battery life, memory capacity of up to 1.5 MB, and sampling rates up to 25 per second. All process signals can be displayed in their own engineering units using the simple equation editor in ACR's TrendReader® software for Windows. The unit can also be networked and accessed remotely by modem.

NETWORK SERVICE MODULE
for DTX CableAnalyzer™ series

Fluke has introduced a new Network Service Module for its DTX CableAnalyzer™ series that makes it possible for the first time to verify and document link connectivity along with cable certification, all with a single instrument. The new module enables technicians to follow industry best practices that recommend verifying the link connectivity after certifying each cabling link and documenting all test results in one report. This allows technicians to eliminate callbacks, reduce network downtime and expand services to end users.

HANDHELD REFRACTOMETERS
are user-friendly

OMEGA's RFH series refractometers are a precise, small, light optical instrument with a metal body; needing only a few small drops of solution to take a measurement and is very user-friendly. The refractometers are instruments that determine the concentration of an aqueous solution by measuring its refractive index. They are used throughout the food, agriculture, chemical and manufacturing industries. The RFH series features a rubber handgrip blocking hand heat, calibration screen, cushioned rubber eyepiece and prism mounted in high impact plastic. All RFH series comes with cleaning cloth, suction tube, screwdriver, carrying case, distilled water and a complete operator's manual.

MULTIMETERS
for heavy-duty industrial applications

Offered in three separate models, the EX510, EX520 and EX530, the new 500 series can be used for any electrical application. It can be used by industrial engineers who need to accurately measure process signals and DC signals. The 500 series can take measurements in the middle of an ice storm or in the heaviest downpour without sacrificing accuracy. The rugged packaging is waterproof, making it suitable for harsh wet conditions. That allows it to be used in any industrial process where there is a high volume of liquid present, such as wastewater or pharmaceutical applications.

ELECTRONIC CALIPERS
feature ergonomic design

The model 799 series electronic calipers are light, comfortable, easy-to-use and have a slim, streamlined profile. These calipers feature zero at any position, inch/mm conversion, a large, clear, highly visible LCD display and long battery life. They are available in 150mm or 200 mm and 300mm models, each furnished in a fitted, protective case. The design incorporates a large, easy-to-read LCD display with a .32" high readout. Simple, push-button features provide zero at any position and instant inch/millimeter conversion. Resolution is 0.01mm and linear accuracy meets DIN862 standard. To prolong battery life, the 799 calipers automatically shut-off after five minutes of inactivity, while retaining the last measuring position.

ELECTROSTATIC VOLTMETERS
for EDS-sensitive environments

The Infinitron™ ultra-high impedance voltmeter with hand-held probe enables contacting voltage measurements to be made with virtually no transfer of electric charge to/from the measured object. It measures site-specific voltage on devices sensitive to ESD during their handling and processing, in order to identify and rectify problems in the process that could result in potentially devastating ESD events. The Infinitron™ offers ESD management in semiconductor electronic assembly, hard disk drive and other electrostatic-sensitive environments and applications. Other applications include medical/biomedical devices, powder handling, electrostatic painting/coating, test & measurement, instrumentation, quality control, materials evaluation, military, aerospace, automotive and R&D.

TEMPERATURE SENSING SYSTEMS
optimize production

The integrated fiber-based distributed temperature sensing (DTS) systems enable photonic temperature sensing for a wide range of industry applications such as oil and gas producers, pipeline operators, electrical power distributors and security system operators. The rugged Agilent N4385A and N4386 DTS accurately and reliably monitor temperature over long distances to optimize production or to detect leaks or fires. For example, it will enable oil companies to have permanent downhole performance monitoring, resulting in increased production of low flow wells, and will enable security applications to more quickly detect fires in cable trays and tunnels.

CNC CMMs
integrate directly into production processes

High-speed, high-accuracy CNC CMMs -- the Crysta Apex Series 700/900 -- feature high throughput measurement and are ideal for integration directly into production processes on the plant floor. They utilize Mitutoyo's lightweight alloy moving structure delivering high acceleration, stability of travel and no vibration to influence measured results. The precision glass scales offer enhanced resolution of 0.0001mm. The Crysta Apex is available in five models. It features real-time temperature compensation that, when applied, will maintain measuring accuracy even at temperature extremes. Temperature sensors can be located on each CMM axis while two other sensors measure the part temperature.

DIGITAL MULTIMETERS
feature non-contact voltage detector

The 350 series is a new line of three feature-packed testers that accurately measure voltage, resistance and continuity, plus offer the benefit of a built-in non-contact voltage detector that detects and alerts the electrician of the presence of a live circuit (80-600VAC) with audible and visual warnings. Common features of the three testers are: auto/manual ranging with electronic overload protection on all ranges, low battery indication, auto power off, data hold and diode testing. A built-in rear stand permits each tester to stand upright.

NON-CONTACT THICKNESS MEASURING SYSTEM
offers high accuracy with quick setup

The CL-2400 system is designed for non-contact thickness measurements of conductive and semi-conductive materials. It provides high accuracy and stability using an unique processing technique that calculates the thickness from gap capacitance. The unit was designed to measure metals, semi-conductors and other electrically-conductive materials. The main material applications are measuring aluminum, steel and copper sheets, plates, foils and disks; silicon wafers, double sided copper clad boards, organic flux, paste-like materials such as electrode plates of batteries before baking, carbon materials, gasket materials. The technique is immune to magnetic fields and ambient light.
