The RedHat Next Generation line of solenoid valves is now available with Class I, Division 2 approval. The certification makes the valves ideal for use in hazardous locations and for watertight applications. In addition, the valves meet all NEMA Types 1 through 4X requirements for water-tight and dust-tight operation. These valves are suitable for indoor or outdoor use where protection is required against splashing water, water seepage, falling or hose-dire water and severe external condensation. With new power management technology and robust advanced electronics, the valve accepts both AC and DC voltages.

ASCO

The QUENCHER is an advancement in the design of spark coolers for dust collection systems. Its fixed blade arrestor assembly thoroughly agitates the gas flow in the duct system to produce maximum turbulent conditions which cools any sparks to within 10°C of the temperature in the process gas stream. This prevents fires and explosions in the system. The device is simply inserted in the ductwork where sparks are generated. The unique in-line design does not require a dropout collection point since the cooled embers are transported safely and collected at the dust collector.

QAM

In response to pending changes to the 2006 CEC, Schneider Canada Services now offers arc flash analyses to help industrial and commercial facilities manage the risk associated with arc flash. Performed by professional engineers and based on IEEE Standard 1584, the arc flash analysis gives the facilities manager PPE category recommendations presented in a clear, tabular form. Omega's new FPU2000 series is self-priming with fixed pumps fed by an analog fixed 60-second timer. The pump can be on for 1 to 60 seconds. All models have fixed speed outputs and can be adjusted by selecting the pumphead tube size and choosing the desired rpm. The FPUV2000 and FPUDVS2000 series variable speed pumps are for continuous pumping pulse free. The FPU2000 series also features a corrosion proof Valox housing, tamper resistant electronic control panel cover, tube failure detection.

The Toggle-Aire® Multi-Station Indexer is pneumatically operated and PLC controlled to perform a variety of parts assembly operations and provide 100% pre- and post-assembly parts inspection, at up to 1600 parts-per-hour. This indexer only assembles, counts, and ejects correctly assembled parts and rejects the bad parts automatically. Suitable for pressing inserts, swaging, broaching, crimping, and related assembly operations, the indexer can be equipped with 3 to 10 ton presses. Controls provide user-programmable dwell timers and inspection options can include mechanical and optical sensing.

AIM Joraco

The Lynx 300 managed industrial ethernet switch is built to function flawlessly in conditions of physical abuse and ambient extremes. It supports mission-critical applications in tough industrial environments. Lynx 300 is an 8-port ethernet switch that withstands temperatures from ­40 to +70°C. It is immune to the sort of vibration and electrical noise that would cripple or severely impair the performance of other ethernet switches. EXAIR's new Super Air Nozzle Clusters provide extremely high blowing force suitable for long distance, wide area blowoff, drying and cooling applications. The clusters use a series of Super Air Nozzles for combined blowing power. The engineered nozzles maximize entrained airflow and force while reducing compressed air use and noise. The clusters are available with four, seven or twelve nozzles. At full pressure of 80 psig, they have an air consumption of 56, 98 and 168 scfm while providing extremely strong blowing force of 3.2, 5.7 and 9.8 pounds. Applications include part ejection, parts cleaning, chip removal, part drying, liquid blowoff and cooling hot parts.

The new "D" single vane screw impeller can handle solids concentrations up to 13% and is extremely resistant to clogging, even when pumping wastewater or viscous sludge with significant amounts of fibrous material. Featuring a free-passage clearance of at least 100 mm, D-impellers can deal with large solids without getting blocked. D-impellers come with adjustable wear-plates that help maintain pumping efficiency over long periods of time, even when pumping wastewater that contains sand or other abrasive materials.

KSB Pumps Inc.

FSI recently launched a complete range of patent pending FSI Transporter™ fluid resistant disposable adult and pediatric backboards. These spinal immobilization backboards are offered in a number of configurations: with/without straps, autocradles, C Collar and other. The disposable units come packaged in boxes of five and take up little space since they store flat. When needed, simply pull the zip tabs on the back of the boards and in less than 30 seconds a fully configured backboard is in place. There is no glue or tape to dry out and fail over time.

FSI North America

These compression nuts, plugs and connectors are designed for low pressure applications using all types of tubing. Nylon compression fittings are corrosion resistant, and have good electrical insulating properties that virtually eliminate any electrical action that could result in corrosion when dissimilar metal meets the fitting. These plastic fittings demonstrate an ability to absorb acoustic and mechanical vibration, thereby extending their useful life in many applications.

The reel handles 1/4" or 3/8" oxygen/gas dual hose in lengths of up to 100 feet, and features two swivel joint inlets and two outlet risers to handle twin gas welding hose. The narrow frame design of the N400 makes it ideal for environments with limited space. The N400 operates at pressures to 300 psi (21 bar) and at working temperatures from ­40°F to +200°F (­40°C to +93°C). Standard inlets are 90° ball bearing swivel joints with 1/2" female NPT threads; standard outlets are male 9/16"­18 threads. Viking Pumps® manufactures a series of gear pumps that are being used extensively throughout the rubber, plastics and polyurethane industry. Both external and internal gear pumps are used in the manufacture of base chemicals through dispensing of finished products.
