COMMUNICATION & SERVER CABINETS

Hoffman introduces NET Series, communication and server cabinets designed to house 19- or 23-inch LAN, WAN, phone and voice mail rack equipment, and servers. These pre-configured cabinets and accompanying accessories are stocked for quick shipment and versatile enough to adapt to many different applications. Constructed of heavy gauge steel, Net Series Cabinets not only protect equipment from intrusion or impact but also from the effects of heat. Communications cabinets are equipped with a fully protected front and louvered rear door; server cabinets feature a fully perforated front and split rear perforated door to facilitate air movement. Both models also feature an open base for easy cable entry.

AIR GATES

Unlike air consuming air knives, the HAUG air gates utilize much less compressed air -- as little as 1/3rd of an air knife with a similar result in blow-off effect and cleanliness. Different versions are available depending on the application. One version can even be converted to utilizing blower air instead should requirements change. A special "articulating" unit is also available for surfaces that may require it. Applications include any ionized blow-off requirements for plastic parts prior to coating or painting, automotive bodies, hard to reach surfaces requiring static removal and cleaning, etc.

ECU MEASURMENT AND CALIBRATION TOOLKIT

National Instruments has released the ECU Measurement and Calibration Toolkit 2.0, extending their LabVIEW LabWindows/CVI and Microsoft Visual C/C++ development environments to support measurement and calibration applications for designing and validating automotive electronic control units (ECUs). With the latest upgrade, automotive engineers can now use the toolkit to develop and verify next-generation ECUs with the Universal Measurement and Calibration Protocol (XCP). The Toolkit delivers high-level, easy-to-use functions based on industry-standard XCP and CAN Calibration Protocol (CCP), which engineers can use to build their own customized measurement and calibration applications.

COMPACT ULTRASONIC SENSOR

The 20 Series ultrasonic sensors offer small size with a sensing range up to 1000mm. The housing measures a small 20x42x15mm, which means it can fit in a lot of tight places. The sensors offer discrete proximity type outputs, or an analog output for making distance measurements. The sensors feature a lockable teach button and a standard 4 pin M8 connector for easy integration in any application.
