The DeviceServer enables 1D or 2D barcode readers to connect to Industrial Ethernet. Up to 16 barcode readers can be connected and controlled over a single Ethernet address, and multiple PC's or PLC's are able to simultaneously access and use the barcode data. The FastPic Systems suite of inventory management software has developed solutions for all types and sizes of organizations. Software packages offer organizations increased productivity, reduced labour costs and improved accuracy. The software can manage manual and automated work zones, including shelving and rack, pick-to-light, carousels, and vertical lift modules and can be used as stand alone or integrated with existing WMS and host systems. FastPic Systems

Genie has introduced a new traction control drive system for its GS-68 RT series of rough terrain scissor lifts. To achieve a true traction control drive system, Genie added combiner divider valves to divide and isolate hydraulic flow to each wheel. This allows each wheel to work independent of the others, transferring maximum power to the ground even when one or more wheels lose contact. With the new design, should one tire lose contact with the ground, the unit will maintain 75% of its power. The new traction control system features gradeability which gives operators access to sites with 35% to 40% slope rating.

The Videojet® 2330 and 2310 large character ink jet printers provide perfect and repeatable, high-quality characters as large as 70mm and 17mm respectively. For maximum uptime, a patented automatic self-cleaning and self-maintenance system continuously keeps printheads free of dust and debris throughout production, thus eliminating the need for manual cleaning. The user interface displays ink use monitoring and low ink warnings. Without halting production, new ink can be added simply and cleanly by using sealed, non-pressurized containers. All ink used within the maintenance process is automatically recycled and filtered to re-use with no waste or spillage.

Pentalift announces a new lift table equipped with a powered deck extension that moves laterally. The 3,000-lb. capacity lift table has a 60" x 84" platform with a 50" vertical lift. A 48" x 22" deck, stored within the platform, can be extended hydraulically to provide a walk-over bridge for use by maintenance personnel servicing machinery. Other features include: non-slip rubber matting on both the platform and extension deck; double-acting hydraulic cylinder to power the extension deck.

Automated Packaging Systems

One standard model includes a rotary four-compartment hopper that drops finishing media into as many as four round-bowl or tub-type machines below. IPL has strengthened the tamper-resistant features of its FlapNest™ 2115 series container, further deterring theft throughout the supply chain. The unique all-plastic hinges are not only tamper resistant but also tamper evident plastic hinges. When the lid flaps of the containers are secured closed with security straps, ties or clips, it is impossible for someone to insert their hands into the containers and withdraw the contents without using tools and leaving behind permanent, visible damage to the containers. The new FlapNest 2115 also includes other enhanced security features for strapping, tie wraps and snap-in clips.

A new line of pneumatic lifting and positioning equipment provides users with many of the benefits of mechanical lifts. Models include 2000- and 4000-pound capacity lift tables, tilters, and lift & tilt tables. They operate cleanly and quietly at any workstations where shop air is available and require only 80 psi to lift & tilt loads up to 4000 lbs. Because they use air instead of hydraulics they are extremely clean, and the potential for process contamination is eliminated.
