The 787F side exit, low profile accelerometer's integral cable is permanently mounted, eliminating a common concern that contaminants can penetrate the connector. In addition to improving sensor reliability, the integral cable eliminates concern about the connector backing off the sensor. Connection integrity is critical for inaccessible sensor locations such as inside a gearbox, machine tool monitoring and underwater applications like vibration monitoring inside tanks or on submersible pumps. The low profile sensor is designed with a wide exit connector and captive screw for easy installation in confined areas.

A new cold weather heater and tarp kit is now available for the Vintage 400. The new universal wireless RS232 to USB transceiver interfaces to any RS232 device, and makes it wireless. By simply connecting the wireless transmitter to an RS232 device, and the wireless receiver module connects to a PC via USB interface to communicate with the RS232 device as if it's directly connected. The wireless receiver can conveniently operate multiple wireless transmitter modules up to 120 m on a clear line of sight. This unit can be used in portable as well as fixed mount industrial applications. The Dynafile abrasive belt machine grinds, deburrs, blends and finishes normally inaccessible areas on metal, plastic, fiberglass and other composites. Light corner weld removal and blending of welds are typical applications of this tool. Over 30 different interchangeable contact arms are available for a wide range of applications. The Dynafile uses coated abrasive belts 1/2", 1/4" or 1/8" wide x 24" long. Non-woven Nylon and Cloth Polishing Belts are also available. EXAIR's new 48" Super Ion Air Knife neutralizes static electricity while blowing away dust and particulates from printed surfaces, paper, plastics and three dimensional shapes. The 48" wide laminar airstream full of static eliminating ions is effective at high speeds and provides superior cleaning up to 20 feet away. The air knife uses only 8.7 SCFM of compressed air at 5 PSIG to entrain high volumes of surrounding room air. An electrically powered static control bar fills the uniform sheet of air with a high concentration of positive and negative ions. The laminar airstream increases the surface exposure to the ions, making it effective for high speed processes and over long distances.

DeFelsko Corporation

For enclosures, which are situated outdoors, Rittal has introduced a range of heaters to protect the delicate electronics housed within from any temperature fluctuations. Available with 400W and 800W outputs, the heaters prevent the temperature inside the enclosure from dropping below operational level. The heaters also facilitate in the reduction of condensation within dual walled cabinets where severe low temperatures may be encountered. The heaters can be easily installed by simply snapping-on to DIN rails or by screwing into the punched frame sections of the outdoor enclosure. All heaters are provided complete with a protective grill in both the air inlet and outlet. An optional thermostat or hygrostat is also available to switch the heaters as required for either temperature or humidity levels.

Rittal Systems Limited

The 445815 Humidity Alert Meter is ideal for monitoring environmental conditions (temperature, humidity and dew point) in storage areas, manufacturing assembly areas and other controlled environments. The Extech humidity alert meter features a user settable alarm and will warn users, both audibly and visually, when adverse conditions occur. The meter calculates and displays the Dew Point reading which is a calculation of temperature and humidity and used to determine when condensation will occur. It features a remote probe that can either clip onto the meter or extend on an 18-inch cable, where the user can take measurements behind walls, in ducts, or other areas that are diffi cult to access.

Extech Instruments

Reelcraft Industries introduces a new pavement breaker reel that helps keep hoses out of harm's way while on the job site. These industrious reels are designed to supply pavement breakers with up to 75' of 3/4" rubber air hose. The special braided hose is abrasion resistant and features a 3/4" universal air coupling for quick and easy dis connects. These reels feature a high level of corrosion resistance due to an individual component powder coating process that takes place prior to assembly.

The LD620 Series of DC output displacement transducers have improved IP67-rated sealing, coupled with new polymer guides with rigid stainless steel carriers. A large bore-to-core clearance is maintained throughout the range allowing for easier installation and helping to prevent misalignment. Guyson has designed a pass-through blasting system for processing structural materials of fiber glass reinforced composites. Nondestructive dry blast surface preparation facilitates subsequent bonding and coating operations. The 1676 x 1524mm cabinet is fitted with eight suction-blast guns securely mounted on adjustable telescoping brackets. Each gun can be locked in a fixed position, at the correct offset and angle to direct its blast stream at a portion of the target surface, with the blast patterns of multiple guns overlapped to provide uniform 360-degree coverage of the work. The feed rate through the driverless in-line blast systems is determined by the user's in-plant material handling system.

The PS-55 Power Source is intended for use with most of ASG's low voltage DC drivers. It features a switchable two-speed output that is rated for and delivers a full 30 VDC on its "higher" setting. The PS-55 is for use with a single driver. Input voltage is either 110 or 220 VAC, selected via external switch. The power source is designed for industrial use, featuring a removeable AC power cord, which is easily replaced if damaged. The PS-55 has a standard clutch signal output, allowing its use with counters or programmable logic controllers to monitor a driver.

ASG, a division of Jergens, Inc.

The M12, 713 series connectors have a newly-designed threaded feed-through connector. This new design allows for a secure, sealed connection through a panel allowing M12 connectors to be connected on either end. The M12 feed-through adapter is constructed with a rugged metal design including an M12x1 thread locking termination. The connector is available in 4, 5 and 8 gold plated contacts with A-coding. The diameter of the mounting hole is 20mm with anti-rotation flats. When properly mated the feed-through adapter maintains an environmental protection rating of IP67 at both the panel and mating area on each side of the adapter.

Binder-USA LP

The new Mettler Toledo solution for manual checkweighing combines the tolerance indication colorWeight® with a hygienic design. Available in a terminal version or as a complete compact scale, this technology makes checkweighing easy. The coloured backlighting of the LC display provides easily readable information as to whether or not the weight is within the tolerance limits. Other colours can be mixed in the setup menu. The display brightness is also adjustable. The bargraph provides additional information about the distance from the target weight.

Mettler Toledo

The ERM 2400 series of encoders consists of the scanning head and scale drum assemblies. The scale drums are designed so that they require only a small installation space. They are available in two versions: the ERM 2404 scale drum features a continuous centering collar on its inner circumference and is fastened with a frictional connection. In addition to the centering collar, the ERM 2405 scale drum has feather-key slots on its inner circumference, which prevent unintentional rotation of the scale drum. Since the scale drums do not have mounting holes, it is possible to realize large inside diameters.

Heidenhain Corporation

PEM® Type FHP™ self-clinching flush-head studs for use in thin stainless sheets serve as solutions for attachment applications where demanding requirements for corrosion resistance and thinner, lighter designs must be satisfied. Type FHP flush-head studs exhibit high hardness and provide high corrosion resistance to perform in the most challenging industry applications, including medical, foodservice, and marine, among others. These studs are formed from A286 stainless steel for use in sheet hardness of 92 or less on the Rockwell "B" scale. They mount flush and permanently in stainless sheets as thin as .040"/1mm and greater and will become integral parts of an assembly. Only a mating nut is required for final component attachment.

PennEngineering

Approved for worldwide Zone 1 use, Intertec's smart heater consists of a heating element plus a networkable digital PID controller with encapsulated electronic circuitry. Dual temperature sensors are supplied: one intrinsically safe sensor that can be freely positioned in the enclosure or cabinet, another embedded in the heater body. These sensors allow the system to control air temperature precisely while also ensuring safety in hazardous areas by limiting the heating element's maximum surface temperature to the required 'T' rating from T3 to T6. A range of different styles and sizes of elements including finned, block and fluid heaters are available -- as well as types that mount directly onto ANSI/ISA standard Sp76 analyzer substrates -- to suit the application requirement.

Intertec Instrumentation Ltd.

A new model 15X15-SS low-profile Rotary De-Clumper reduces agglomerates and friable materials being discharged from process equipment, storage vessels and shipping containers. Material entering the 381mm square inlet is reduced in size by dual rotorswitch three-point, single-piece, stainless steel breaking heads rotating with minimum clearance inside a curved, perforated bedscreen. On-size material exits through apertures in the bedscreen ranging from 25 to 64mm in diameter. Powered by a 2.24 kw motor with gear reducer and serpentine timing drive, the synchronized shafts rotate at approximately 100 rpm to avoid heating the product. Both the rotor assembly and the bedscreen can be removed rapidly for cleaning or replacement.

Munson Machinery Company, Inc.

The XR-Series of process gauges combines the safety and durability of SOLFRUNT® 1981 and 1986 process gauges with an AMETEK M&G diaphragm seal. The XR-Series features all-welded gauge-to-seal design and seamless Bourdon tubes that provide fewer leak paths and superior burst or rupture pressure performance. Each is factory-filled and calibrated reducing installation time. There are two standard versions of the XR-Series: XR-81 is made with YSG Model 1981 gauge with a 316L stainless steel internals welded to an M&G 316L stainless steel diaphragm seal with 1/2" NPT process connection. It is suited for chemical, petrochemical, ethanol or biodiesal processing applications. X-86 is made with a USG Model 1986 gauge (MONEL® internals) welded to an M&G MODEL® diaphragm seal with 1/2" NPT connection. Applications for the XR-86, which is available with an optional yellow or orange phenolic case, include hydrogen, sul fide, sour gas, alkaline pumps and other highly corrosion NACE-type applications.

Heyco Snap-In Cord Grips -- electrical cord and cable strain-relief grips are designed for applications where limited clearance exists inside electrical cabinets or housings for assured pulse-free strain relief. The grips have smooth, rounded interior edges and are constructed from durable polyamide 6/6 nylon. They provide lasting high strength, chemical resistance and good electrical properties. The cords are available in black, white or matched to a colour chip.

Heyco Products, Inc.

Balluff's new insulation displacement connector provides a fast method to add a connector to a cable. Its components are designed to provide fast and easy connections. For example, only a small amount of torque is needed to secure the gaskets and ensure a proper cut into the insulation. Only 20mm of outer insulation needs to be removed. A bulkhead gasket on the threading provides an IP67 protection rating for the field connection when properly installed. On final assembly, blades cut into the wire insulation for a solid contact with the wire. Connector styles include straight and angled styles.

Balluff

The A7C13M (Metric) and A7c13 (Inch) Series of flexible shafts are designed for remote control assemblies. They can be panel mounted without casing. These units range from 3.3mm to 4.8mm in diameter and from 76mm to 355mm in length and are designed to operate in a manual mode and have a curvature radius ranging from 500mm to 38mm.
