Favour Light Enterprise Limited, a global flashlight manufacturer, has selected Cree's new Xlamp® XR-E power LEDs for its innovative LED camping lanterns and a number of new flashlight models.

Cree Xlamp XR-E LEDs have excellent brightness and efficiency, critical features in battery-powered, portable lighting applications such as hand-held flashlights. XR-E LEDs also produce the high-quality, uniform white light required by flashlight manufacturers. The new white Cree XR-E LEDs produce typical luminous flux of 80 lumens at 350 mA, yielding 70 lumens per watt.

GE Energy introduces the SQ-300i™ automatic voltage control (AVC), the completely redesigned AVC for electrostatic precipitators. The unit serves as the "heartbeat" of the electrostatic precipitator control system, using a proprietary spark response algorithm to control the delivery of electrical power to discharge electrodes by controlling power input to a transformer rectifier.

The new Magnetic Activated Ground has a built-in on/off switch which activates a powerful magnet, providing an outstanding ground, close to the weld. It is smaller, lighter and more versatile than alligator clamps or traditional magnetic clamps. There is no need to tack a tab to the surface, nor will the ground collect debris. To clean, the user turns it off and wipes it clean. It can handle up to 450 amps continuously on a clean flat surface. Up to 600 amps can be handled at a 20% duty cycle on a clean, flat surface, accommodating most welding processes.

The EPower power controller incorporates a predictive load management function (PLM). This innovative function makes the unit highly effective in managing power demand. It can be used in true power, phase angle firing or burst firing modes to suit the particular application. Removable Cover Plate (RCP™) generator coolers are widely used in new and existing power generation installations, from nuclear to hydro-electric to gas turbine power. Applications include both air cooled and hydrogen cooled generators. Today's electrical generators produce not only electricity but also heat from conductor resistance and from friction losses in the bearings. The coolers effectively and reliably remove this heat, in a system that is easy to clean and maintain. A removable, bolt-on cover plate facilitates access for cleaning while keeping the cooler installed, without disturbing the pipe.

The LPU-2428 Loop Powered Ultrasonic Level Sensors with microprocessor control are used to internally perform volume, flow and totalization calculations. These IP65 rated sensors provide a 0.3 to 7.62 m detection range. They are specially designed for liquid flow-rate and volume measurement applications, and are also a good solution for determining distance and level. For determining flow rates, formulas for a variety of flumes and weirs are built into the sensors. Equation-based calculations are also possible. They feature internal temperature compensation to automatically account for changes in ambient temperature.

The E-SAFE® II hybrid power switch provides reliable and accurate power switching for the foodservice industry. The mercury-free product offers a switching life of millions of cycles at 35 amperes at a high ambient temperature rating of 70°C for performance in foodservice applications such as conveyor and convection ovens, grills and fryers. The E-SAFE II features Watlow's NO-ARC technology, allowing it to switch millions of cycles while decreasing noise and increasing temperature accuracy. The switching mechanism of the E-SAFE II is a hybrid solid state and mechanical relay. This allows faster cycling and more precise control, which helps contribute to energy savings and extends heater life. E-SAFE II does not require the use of heat sinks, even while operating in a 70°C environment.

Cummins has introduced a new series of 100, 125 and 150 kW Tier 3 generator sets with advanced sound attenuated enclosure systems. With a sound level of only 67.5 dB(A), the 100 kW unit is available in steel or aluminum with two levels of sound attenuation. The generator set and enclosure packages are intended for all-weather outdoor use wherever local ordinances or circumstances require sound abatement. The RGB-1007-001 low profile, four legs through hole LED offers full-spectrum red, green and blue LED. These discrete LEDs provide excellent performance and visibility in a compact size of only 4.90mm x 6.5 mm +0.15. The red, green and blue diodes emit high-intensity light in a viewing angle of 120°. The red diode's wavelength is 635nm. The wavelength of the green diode is 520nm. Blue operates at 470nm. Depending on the colour, luminous intensities range from 230mcd to 750mcd with current between 20mA and 25mA. A water clear lens protects the diode array. Use RGB-1007-001 LEDs with LEDtroniccs OptiLED Light Pipes to simplify the spatial relationship between the PCB and remote indicator illumination points. Light pipes channel all of the LED-generated light to the exact location where the light is required. With an average lifespan of 100,000-plus hours, they are virtually maintenace-free.
