Shell Canada Products' lubricants business has revitalized its range of mineral and synthetic industrial gear oils to meet the demands of modern machinery. Shell Omala is a mineral-based gear oil suitable for highly loaded gearboxes operating under normal temperatures. It has been designed to help extend component and oil life and has excellent water-separation properties, critical for operations in wet environments such as steel, mining and paper mills. Shell Omala HD has been formulated for increasingly harsh industrial environments. It has improved thermal and oxidative stability, which minimizes sludge formation and increases in viscosity. Shell Tivela S is a high performance synthetic gear fluid designed for use in enclosed, sealed-for-life or worm-helical gear units operating at higher temperatures. It has a very low friction co-efficient, which leads to reduced power losses and lower energy consumption.

Petro-Canada's line of HYDREX* AW hydraulic fluids minimize harmful sludge build-up in systems, By minimizing oxidation and consequently reducing sludge levels, it provides longer oil life. HYDREX AW hydraulic fluids are formulated with the company's patented HT purity process -- to produce 99.9% pure, crystal clear base oils -- and specialty additives. It retains its "fresh oil" properties longer providing resistance to oxidative breakdown and outstanding wear protection.

Petro-Canada

The PB50 All-Purpose Lubricant lubricates, protects, penetrates and displaces/repels moisture and can be used in virtually any application. It lubricates everything from hinges, roller chains, glides and gears. PB50 is a penetrating lubricant that also displaces and repels moisture and is suitable for drying wet equipment, equipment that has been totally submerged, or machinery components such as spark plugs, electrical wires, power tools and electric motors.

The B'laster Corporation

Thred-Gard® is an anti-seize and lubricating compound which helps protect against troublesome seizing, galling, rust and corrosion found in many industrial and manufacturing environments. It is non-dripping and non-hardening making it suitable for use on nuts, bolts, bushings, turbines, sleeves, couplings and other interlocking components. Thred Gard is available in three compounds for use at different high-temperature levels, including a general purpose formula for temperatures up to 537°C; a copper-base formula for temperatures up to 982°C; and a nickel-based formula for temperatures up to 1,427°C.

Gasoila Chemicals

Designed to free seized or corroded assemblies, Loctite® Freeze & Release is a low viscosity, spray-on lubricant designed to shock-freeze metal parts, allowing lubricating oils to penetrate into rust layers. As Freeze & Release instantly freezes seized and rusted parts to ­45°F, hairline cracks form in the rust layer as the metal contracts. These cracks allow the product's lubricating oil to penetrate by capillary action quickly and efficiently into the rust layer. After one to two minutes, the assembly is easy to dismantle. The product eliminates the need for cutting torches and die grinders.

Henkel Corporation

The L-Series viscosity-insensitive flowmeters for circulating lubrication systems protect bearings in machinery, mining and steelmaking applications. The L Series meters maintain +/-5 percent accuracy for lubrication oils with a viscosity range between 40 and 200 centipoise. The meters facilitate both setup and troubleshooting by monitoring rate of oil flow, providing flow rate indication to assist in problem diagnosis and responding immediately if flow goes too low. L Series meters are mechanical units that require no power. They are available with high-vibration modifications to protect against bearing damage in applications such as mining, ore processing and rock crushing.

The Gardner Denver Sutorbilt Legend Dual Splash Lube Positive Displacement (PD) Blower and Vacuum Pump is a drop-in replacement for existing Legend grease lubricated models and contains universal feet for mounting either horizontally or vertically. A refined timing and locking device improves reliability and simplifies maintenance. Engineered lubrication channels ensure ample lubrication reaches critical components. Innovative bearing housing with air gaps increases bearing life and keeps lubrication cooler.

TG Compressed Air Systems

Machine parts that require constant lubricating of their surface areas such as gears and rollers can be serviced by the use of a precision spray valve and sequence controller. The Model SV1217SS spray valve and programmable controller SVC100 can precisely direct a fine mist of lubricant to the moving part using time and pressure sequencing. Controlling the relationship between the lubricant start signal and the misting signal allows the lubricant line pressure to start momentarily after the misting pressure initiates, reversing the process at the end of the cycle. This sequencing ensures a non-clogging system that provides consistency reducing maintenance and downtime. The system can keep pace with fast revolving machinery cycling up to 400 cycles per minute. Lubricant viscosity can be accommodated up to 1000 cps.

Anderol's Polyalkyleneglycol (PAG)-based ROYCO 800 series lubricants are specifically engineered for demanding hydrocarbon, process and natural gas compression applications. The 800 series lubricants extend application life by exhibiting a high initial viscosity at cylinder operating conditions and minimal viscosity change from fluctuations in pressure, temperature or gas density. These lubricants are highly resistant to wash-off by hydrocarbon condensation often present in compressor cylinders. This lubricant series is completely non-reactive to additives in the gas stream making it ideal for sweet and sour gas applications.

The Dyna-Star® 10:1 hydraulic powered pump is designed to safely operate off of onboard low-pressure hydraulics. The pump delivers lubrication via divider valves and injectors to bearing points on heavy-duty construction and mining equipment. It features a digital controller that offers multi-functional time- and pressure-based control of the pump, and low level and inadequate pressure shutdown options. A pressure switch monitors system pressure, a tank level indicator monitors lubrication levels, a gauge monitors hydraulic pressure output, and hydraulics control module regulates pressure and flow.
