Safety specialist Fortress Interlocks has introduced an option pod with keyswitch for the company's amGard range of modular safety gate switches. The option pod ensures an operative can only enter a potentially hazardous area when it is safe. It prevents inadvertent restart of the machinery while they are in there, and a second pod inside the area can be used to initiate safe robot programming using the key.

Ruland is now offering lead-free carbon steel shaft collars with RoHS compliant yellow zinc plating. The zinc plating offers good anti-corrosive properties. All of Ruland's yellow zinc parts are plated using a RoHS compliant trivalent process instead of the non-compliant hexavalent process. The Sx family of servo amplifiers accepts two sinusoidal command signals with a 120-degree phase shift, generated from an external controller, which does the commutation. The SX25A20 outputs 25 amps peak 12.5 amps continuous and operates off 60-190 VDC. The amplifier generates the third phase internally and drives the motor sinusoidally. Advanced technology is used so a 6 KHz bandwidth can be achieved when using a low inductance motor. Thermal drift and offset is minimized by use of precision current loop components. Amacoil has introduced a reciprocating linear motion platform driven by a rolling ring drive which reciprocates automatically without requiring motor reversal. Using a control knob on the assembly, adjustments to linear speed are also possible without changing the motor speed or reducing gears. Mechanical control over speed and travel direction eliminates the need for electronics and programming. There are no hydraulics or pneumatics and the linear drive is low maintenance requiring only light shaft lubrication once every three months.

The Floorfix™ fastener is designed to secure steel floor plates from one side and the Grating Clip to secure steel grating to existing structural steel members. The 8100/8111 circulator-flange ball valve is designed for hydronic heating systems. It is a two-piece, brass-body, full-port ball valve, designed with free-floating flanges for easy alignment with circulator pump flanges to simplify installation. The series combines a flange with a ball valve to simplify isolation of circulator pumps for quick testing, repairs or replacement, without the need to drain the entire system. The mating flange allows the valve to be located in the most convenient position available. This free-floating feature eliminates the need to align the flange bolt-holes when installing into hydronic systems.

Hammond Valve

The Meyer Pneumatic Screw Pump is a heavy-duty dry material injection pump designed to feed dry pulverized material into a pneumatic conveying line. It can handle highly abrasive, friable or very fine powders. Unlike rotary airlocks that require tight clearances to seal against conveying air, the pneumatic screw pump uses the material to form the seal. An integrated gate prevents blowback, and the pump can handle temperatures up to 450°F. The pump features a heavy steel channel frame, oversize bearings, integral check valve, low inlet hopper height, no product contact with the bearings, and conveying pressures up to 15 psi.
